Incredible value for a family of four! We had personalized assistance to get us there after hours when we were two hours off course. Breakfast was varied, ample, and delicious along with plenty of coffee. We loved it was walking distance to the town square but off a busy road. The view of Mt. Arenal was nicely framed by a peaceful walk between cabinas with gorgeous foliage. Loved it here and we will return.
all reviews » I liked everything! we enjoyed (my wife, mom and dad) the place every single second, the view of the volcano is beautiful, the garden is precious and full of exotic birds, rooms were big and clean, hot water, cable, air conditioned. Breakfast was delicious and the staff is like a family. Everything you need to have some of the greatest time of your life is here. The staff at Montechiarri was fantastic. The señora was extremely nice and incredibly helpful when we needed assistance in planning our adventures. Breakfast was ample, our cabin was more than satisfactory, and the view of Arenal volcano is second to none. Wonderful views of Arenal, which must be one of the most artistic volcanoes ever. Exquisite garden with humming birds and bird tables with toucans. Lovely staff, good cabins and walking distance of town. Beautiful clean pool. Loved it! The gardens were gorgeous. We stayed in cottage 15 and had a perfect view of arenal volcano out our window. Definitely recommend this hotel. Only 7 minute walk into la fortuna. Pool was great. Staff speak English very poor. Solar heating left us with no hot water. Poor English speaking and not to frendly receptionist. Lack of hot water, none! Not enough towels Not enough toilet paper Very poor lighting inside cabin and bathroom Poorly insulated for neighbours TV remote control not operating Poor seating inside and outside cabin No fridge in one of our cabins Lack of any amenities.
