Magic Reef Resort offers Polynesian-style bungalows in a great location directly on the beach in Rarotonga. This little resort offers spacious accommodation with great ocean views. There are 9 studio-style bungalows in total, all of which are furnished with a 4-poster bed and include kitchenette facilities. All have a furnished balcony with ocean views, as well as a private outdoor shower and bath. Facilities at the Magic Reef Bungalows include a swimming pool, direct access to the beach and a barbeque area. All guests receive continental breakfast on arrival. Airport transfers are available.

One word: paradise! Thanks to Grace and her team we had a great week (all the people on the island are so welcoming)! We had a secret deal from letsbookhotel.com, which make it affordable for backpackers on a budget like us. It started great with flowers at the airport and in the bungalow and a very nice driver who really knows his island (everything is closed on Sunday, so he stopped at the gas station so we could get some water, lunch and snacks, breakfast is provided on the first morning) . .
all reviews » Fabulous place to stay. Very clean, ocean view from every bungalow. Lovely breakfast delivered, or make your own in the kitchenette . Waterline restaurant is just a 2 minute walk along the beach, or small shop to get supplies down the road. No children under 12, so really quiet and relaxing..except the roosters , but they are part of the Island adventure and are all over the Island. Bus stop outside bungalows or car , scooter rentals up the road. The bathroom was amazing. Nice friendly driver picked us up at midnight from the airport with a fruit platter and drinks waiting for us. Nice pool. Very clean and large spacious rooms. Friendly manager was very accommodating to our extra requests. We were both very impressed with the facilities and layout of the bungalows. The bungalows were serviced every two days and the staff were extremely helpful. We could not have asked for anything more. Much better then a resort. Fabulous bungalows that were clean and private. Loved the outdoor bathroom! Lovely host who picked up our bags for us from our previous accommodation, which was very nice of her! Loved the complementary breakfast on arrival!. Great location, excellent accommodation, with cooking facilities.Everything was clean staff and new owners were excellent.This place was pretty much perfect. Everything! The bungalows are gorgeous, loved the outdoor bathroom. The sunsets are magic and Grace the Manager is super helpful. I stayed only 1 night and the bungalow was superb! Very comfortable, very clean. Superfriendly staff. Grace and her team were amazing at handling all our requests Beautiful spot Quiet. i would have rated it 10 out of 10 all but not being able to swimming in the sea. Nothing really, would like more information available on whats happening around the Island each night, would be helpful. Emailed a few days before we left for a clarification and never received a reply. The beach out front is not very deep and therefore not great for swimming. But don't worry, the on site pool is fantastic. There was nothing we didn't like. Beach was nice, but not great for swimming. Only a couple of small gripes.wasn't a swimming beach but didn't have to go to far for a swim. I used the pool. Step down to outdoor shower was too large. Owner is addressing this problem.One suggestion take your own food to Rarotonga as it is very expensive as most kiwis do. Not a swimming beach but you don't have to walk far to find a nice deep spot :-). The beach here is rocky so not really nice area for swimming. That we couldn't stay longer!. not being able to swim or snorkle at the resort.

Please note that the hotel offers compulsory return transfers to and from Rarotonga Airport for NZD $40 return per person. You must provide their flight details, including arrival and departure times, at the time of booking by completing the Special Request box. This is very important to ensure the transfer shuttle will be at the airport to meet you and also because the hotel’s reception is not open 24 hours a day. Please note that all requests for early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability. Additional charges apply at 50% of the nightly room rate. Guests are welcome to contact the property for more information using the contact details on the booking confirmation. Please note that in case of cancellation, the hotel will charge an additional 7% to cover credit card fees.
