The "Wada Girls" were fantastic and couldn't have been nicer to us; we have 3 kids (ages 12, 12, and 9) and they were in heaven at Wada; lots of cozy places to sit and hang out/work on WiFi when not out in Guilin; food was really really good and very cheap - we ate a LOT of meals there. Easy to find with the picture instructions on website .Friendly , great communal room , when you've been travelling a while it was perfect to relax , watch a movie, have a gin and tonic , great food , nice crisp clean sheets , good air con in room , cleaned every day.
all reviews » This is a great hostel with very helpful English speaking staff. Rooms are with basic equipment (electrical blankets for winter months), but nice and clean. Location is OK, about 10 min walk from train station. They serve excellent food (breakfast, lunch and dinner). the staff was great, the facilities were great, good location, good food, The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Smuck for the buck it's going to be hard to beat, And I've been to numerous countries. Wada Hostel is the best hostel in China! We really love to stay there, very comfortable and clean. The staf is very nice and helpful. The place is lovely, all decorate with chinese vibe. staff is very generous, good accommodation and resting area. location is good, there is shopping mall with food court nearby. Price is good as well. Very friendly staff, well informed. Even let me leave my luggage for 48 hours after I checked out. Food in cafe/bar area was lovely. One of the best hihostel I have visited. The personal are very helpfull and friendly and they have a great restaurant and bar. The staff were great, so helpful and keen to just have a chat. Great place to meet other travellers too. It is near to railway staion,so it is very good for people who wants tostay guilin fo one night transit. The terrace was also nice. Wifi in the rooms would be nice, but not a big deal. The Internet kept on dropping off is the only negative from a really good place to stay . Bicycle for renting is not well-maintained. nothing. I didn't like the place,guilin has more better places. -absolutely nothing. Confort. The room was to small, kind of old and bed not very confortable. The common area was nice but whitout air con so it was unbareable in july time. Also many mosquitos flying around. You have to take the bus to go to city center.
