The location is excellent, close to Forbidden City .Tiananmen Square and short walk go to a beautiful Jingshan park. Close to the Beihai Park and bar street. Not a big hotel but practically characteristic, fresh supply of towels and beddings everyday. For the price of the hotel I think this is a value. I highly recommend it to others. Excellent location, easy to find, near subway, buses and taxis. Helpful staff - we arrived at 8 in the morning and still got a room immediately (it was cleaned quickly for us to move in). I also liked the hotel design with the open courtyard. The rooms were bright and the use of glass made the hotel seem very open and friendly.

Price was good for the convenient location and relaxed atmosphere.We reserved a so called executive room, and it was great: spacious, well-cleaned every day. The location of the hotel is wonderful. The personnel spoke English well enough, and was very supportive and polite. The Hotel is in the heart of Beijing, 10min walk to Forbidden City, 20 min walk from the shopping center. I think, because of high prices these places did not look very busy and crowded with clients. Quite far away from subway. Personel doesn't speak English very well. Breakfast is quite chinese. Some part of hotel there are no elevetor (okay, there are only 3 floors...). i did not like the breakfast. Rooms small, very small cupboards. There was not a bathtub,but it's OK. The price is a little bit of expensive. I know the fact that the Olympic games took place. 1. Staff speak only very basic English. 2. No Fitness Centre, sweaming pool or sauna. 3. There were 2 beds in the room and one was really hard. 4. Minibar contains only soft drinks and beer. 5. All TV programms (ca. 25) are in Chinese except of channel CCTV9 which is in English and shows mostly news. 6. You need to show passport when changing money (in hotel too).terrible bathroom and cleaning was cursory. cleaning. people trying to sell you things at front door and not taking no for an answer asked their tour reservation desk to book train, they duely did gave a reciept with time and date, only to find the night before journey as in 12 hrs before they informed us it wasnt booked and only option to get to our destination was fly at a greater cost and disturbance.reception staff seemed inexperianced. they should change the carpets in the rooms.Staff hardly speak English and did not make much efforts to be helpful. too expensive and not clean at all. Poor value - as price massively hiked for olympics.
