I love the bar/resto and the rooftop! A nice place to hang out at night or when we just want to rest for a while. I like the location because its still in the middle of city but it's not as crowded or as noisy as other city centers. It's also very close to metro station. All in all, it's perfect place to stay! Very excellent and helpful staffs too. great atmosphere and common room. the staff is really helpful and kind, thanks to all and especially Simon for all the help! the dorm is great to meet others. great plaxe to start the trip in china.
all reviews » the staff is great. the location makes it easy to find and get to. it is in a quieter section of the city with easy access to touristy areas and attractions. you can't beat the price or value. Really great place, extremely friendly and helpful staff, and nice, large rooms. Great little bar where you can grab breakfast and late night food, and very well located near city centre. This hostel is located in a traditional hutong. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they speak good English. Located quite close to a metro station. Overall good experience. The reception servises were available all the time and we received good advice everytime we needed. The staff approach was nice. I had a very pleasant stay, staff was nice, room was very good and easy to find. Very kindly staff!very close to the center. Close to subway, good cafe, friendly staff. The breakfast wasn't included in the booking, and it was quite pricey... 30Rmb. the bathroom of dorm 108 has a moldy smell and the wi fi signal is kinda weak and goes on and off. Minor problem with a bit of a leaky pipe in the bathroom meant the floor was wet, but no big deal!. The room was a little cold and there was a slight smell in the bathroom. I went in winter and room was a bit cold even the heater, not too much though. The walls are quite thin, so it is hard to sleep, when the staff and guests are starting to talk out loud early in the morning or late at night. Room was quite small, though cheap. Probably, all the disadvantages of the room come with the low price. It is a way down a dark alley - it doesn't feel unsafe, but it is hard to see! Toilet paper rationing is not enough The sister hostel - Springtime - is actually better value Vegetarian breakfast was disappointing for the price. Bike rental should be for free (letsbookhotel.com says so) but it's 20 yuan for a day plus deposit. There were repairs in the hostel but only during a day so if you were doing some sightseeing it wasn't a problem. Prices in the bar should be a little bit lower (black coffee for 18 youan! ). The heating was very poor, it took about 24 hours for the room to warm up, I asked and staff gave me another cover for the first night. Also, the room seemed dated, wallpaper needs to be replaced. To get to the hostel one has to walk for a while in a dark alley, not very comfortable walking by yourself.
