Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful location with incredible 360 degree views of Valparaiso from the lounge/dining area on top level. Very accommodating - they organised delicious vegan breakfast for us every morning. Short walk to all the hot-spots, shops, train station. A wonderful hotel with interesting design. The manager was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome (as did the complimentary pisco sour!) Loved it so much have booked in for NYE. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking was particularly special. A real treat.
all reviews » We had the suite at the top of the building and the view of the bay was fantastic. We had a panaramic view of the city lit up at night and of the sunrise. Buffet breakfast was very good and the decor of the hotel was fantastic. We loved the charming use of wood and recycled woodwork. The manager, Louis and his staff made us feel very comfortable and the view of the harbor from both our room and the Terrace was outstanding. Lovely and friendly staff an my family and I truly felt welcomed and appreciated. Very good service in an unique environment and we lved the design and the view. The staff were so friendly and helpfull. The buffet style breakfast served in your room is really good and so substantial. The vieuw was beautiful. 1) The design of the hotel is very unique, unlike typical accommodations and because it is different we recommend staying at it. 2) The location is near tourist attractions and good restaurants but also close enough for a walk to the downtown. 3) If you can splurge, the big rooms have awesome views of the city because they are in the penthouse floor. The room was beautiful and the beds were clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was also very tasty. Valparaiso is not the cleanest place in the world and there are lots of stray animals and graffitti about. The long uphill climb. But, that's part of the color of a visit to Valparaiso and not an issue with the hotel. As the breakfast is the only meal served, could easily be improved by being more richer in terms of products. The window shades were not working. Not a good selection of restaurants nearby. Is a bit hard to find at the first time, but this is not a big issue. Nothing. 1) Took a while (at least several minutes) to get hot water in the shower. But we experienced this several times at other hotels in Chile. 2) Few electrical outlets. 3) Little space on the floor for luggage because our room was small. 4) English communication with the staff was barely possible but they were friendly. But the uniqueness of the hotel make up for these minor inconveniences. Some of the staff were nice, however we had a horrible experience with two of the receptionists, one who was using inappropriate language, and was very rude and disrespectful. I have honestly never had a worst experience at a hotel.
