Puerto Escondida B&B is a great place to stay in Valparaiso. It's out of the chaos of the busy port and up in the hills of the mostly lovely little area. It's surrounded by cafes, restaurants and a couple of shops. If you want to walk around and check out the street art it's convenient to the most amazing art murals and paintings that splash the city of Valparaiso. Staff is extremely friendly, even with a language barrier. The owner speaks perfect English and never made me feel like a . all reviews »
Puerta Escondida is a great place to go to. The rooms are nicely decorated with a good and clean bathroom. The living room and where we had breakfast are breathing an extremely positive atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent and prepared by our host Andres who is an extremely nice guy. Whatever we needed or wanted to know, he was of great help! Highly recommendable!.
Beautifully restored old building, rooms with period features but modern fixtures and fittings.

Andres, the owner and innkeeper, has done a brilliant job remodeling and modernizing this old house. Great details in the linens and bath amenities, good wi-fi, and most of all Andres' cheerful and helpfully enthusiastic attitude!.
Location was perfect. Very close to restaurants . Fast internet for free. Room was nice and clean. Staff was very helpfull and friendly. Of course it was not soundproof. It is an old, very well preserved house! We loved it!.

Everything. Puerta Escondida is in a very nice, interesting, central area. The hostal itself is very, very nice---funky, comfortable, with friendly and helpful staff and many interesting places nearby.

It was all very okay, except that the double room was extremely small
and looking to the backyard was not what we would call a good view!.
We liked everything but people shoul be aware it is a two story without elevator so if you have a handicap that prevents you from using stairs it could be a problem.
Not a big deal, but no refrigerator in the room.
