After a long journey and not having a visa and just a small run in with the Customs people, when we arrived in Santiago it was more than a pleasant surprise to be greeted with the friendliness of the staff at the Garden Inn. The following morning again the staff were more than helpful and gave us 120% of their time and effort to make us feel both welcome and at home. We cannot praise the staff enough for what they achieved for us in the short time that we were there. We would gladly give any re.
all reviews » We found the room very comfortable. Bed sheets, mattress pillows best quality out of all hotels in Sth America. Sound proof. Shower head excellent. Front desk staff member was on his own and handled the situation professionally but it did mean waiting to check in for 10 minutes. It was 9.30 pm. Staff really friendly, spoke english as well as spanish, rooms really big and spacious, bed comfort fully adjustable, food great. Pool and spa great as well. Friendly staff. They went out of their way to help us, especially in the restaurant when there was a mix-up in ordering because of our use of Spanish. Handy when in transit to and from Santiago airport. The courtesy cars and shuttles are efficient. Rooms are comfortable. Staff helpful and pleasant. The accuracy of the previous best helpful review seen although we did not require room service so can not comment on this. I liked everything. The bed was so comfortable. The staff was excellent. We had a very bad experience with the food and unfortunately there's not much within walking distance of the hotel. I was ignored and didn't get any assistance with my luggage when I arrived. Bathtub could not be used. Need to improve directions. Every taxi I caught got lost. Location is in the middle of nowhere, however, proximity to airport is redeeming factor. It's not a very nice location, even though it's a 5 to 10 minute taxidriave from the airport. minibar empty????? no laundry service in the room (need to deliver yourself) quality/price not so good. Location built in wasteland. Front desk staff unhelpful. Man walked into women's changing rooms at pool whilst I was changing. the service is so bad! we arrive there at midnight, but the staff knock our room at 7 o'clock in the morning! horrible!.
