The 4 person dorm room I stayed in was spotlessly clean as was the adjacent bathroom. The bedding was of a good quality, with a homely addition of a cushion and a towel laid out on the bed.
Breakfast was a buffet, that included a fruit salad; eggs were available to cook as you wish.
A very homely, quiet atmosphere; the hostel was situated only 2 mins walk from Caracoles main Street.

The service was excellent and a tour package was offered but not pushed hard. The rooms are quirky and located around a central courtyard with a hammock and tables. There was an ample and varied breakfast and found the whole stay very relaxing. -

I really enjoyed my stay at EcoExplor.
Victor, the owner, was really helpful and comprehensive while I had paiement problems.
The hostal has a great atmosphere, a kinda mad max one but stylish. Nice to chill and relax in the hammock or the little house in the tree.
Rooms are cleaned everyday, beds are comfortables, bathrooms are perfects.

Very laid back, family run hostel, a wonderful if modest sanctuary. This place will suit independent travellers who for the most part are happy to look after themselves and want to kick back and relax in San Pedro and don't need to be right where the party is.
The place has everything it needs - private rooms, 2 bathroom/showers shared between them, a relaxing porch/courtyard /hammock area, modest kitchen, laundry and friendly pooch

Breakfast was great, and the owner, hector, couldn't have been nicer. He sent us directions to the hotel from the bus station, which was helpful as we arrived very late. As it turned out the hotel was about 5 minutes from the station which was ideal. It's only about ten minutes walk - if that - into the Main Street.
