Close to the beach, being a short 5 minute walk with plenty of places to eat close by and a cinema over th road should you fancy it. Pleasant enough continental breakfast which set you up for the day and room are basis but clean with a fridge. Parking is a bonus right next door and GPS takes you right there. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us. My wife and I were visiting our daughter who just had our first grandchild, and she lives five minutes away from the hotel. So it was very convenient for us. The bathroom was sparkling clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It has free parking, decent rooms, and you can get downtown easily - but not really quickly - on the Queen streetcar. You are a quick walk away from the Beaches area and the boardwalk for the best in people watching. The hotel was clean and the room was ok, nothing too fancy but enough to sleep comfortably. There is a charge of at least $1.20 (tax included) for every single phone call whether the party you are calling answers or not. (Use Skype or MagicJack etc. to avoid such charges.). The furniture in the room was too bulky making it difficult to move around. The lighting was poor. Location a bit removed from center, room a little dark (not a problem for me but might be for some people), pricing maybe a little steep for location/amenities. Small parking lot could be a challenge to late hour arrivals. There is no pool. Breakfast area is way too small. No elavator!. hidden tax when you do booking for your hotel. Facility is showing its age. Noise late at night perhaps in the hall but it did not last long. Nothing springs to mind that was a dislike and I'd hate to put something down just to simply fill the box!. The carpeting in the room was "tired" and could stand upgrading, but that's true of many hotels. The only real blemish of the entire experience was a stain on the blanket which turned off my wife. The breakfast wasn't good - mediocre coffee and no butter for the breads. If you want a good breakfast, go to the Tulip a block to the west. The ratio price/location or price/comfort was a bit bad in this case because the hotel is conveniently located but it's still a ride to go to the city... And the price was quite high (180$) for a "basic" room since during our trip most hotels we had with similar type of rooms were costing around 70-80$, and a 100$ difference is not nothing... It's even more expensive than our night in a 4 stars hotel - Manoir next to Québec... The smell of cat urine in the room was not pleasant. The price seemed high for what was offered. The furniture looked very old and is in need of some serious renovation. Television is from the 80's and TV stand also. Breakfast could be better with more choice and better coffee. If they had all these upgrades, wouldn't bother me paying more for the room. All in all we were still happy. Pillows were too small Air conditioner did not work well Carpets had tears and dirty. Coffee and machine in room but no cups, neither for coffee nor for water. Cable TV but listing of stations available. morning desk clerk and his attitude. The rooms were very dated and not very clean. The Heater/AC was extremely loud and the rooms has little sound proofing. The parking lot was extremely tiny. In my original room there was no hot water. Extreme smell of garbage at front door. Price of room did not reflect amenities. Old TV, bed is 1ft from TV. Blinds and window are quite old. Small rooms Everything is old Needs remodeling Too expensive. Price for a very basic motel of 169.00 plus taxes of 22.00 is excessive to say the least.Noisy street cars pass in front of hotel.
