Located on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, this Lodge is beautifully appointed. One feels both close to nature, while also having luxurious accommodations. The freshly baked cookies, the coffee/tea, the fruit readily available gave the lodge feel very welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. all reviews » The location is superb - looking out onto the ocean - and the lodge has its own private beach. Relaxing in the large, supremely comfortable lounge looking out on the beautiful scene ( as the rain poured down!) with endless supplies of coffee or tea was a real treat and a memorable one. Freshly baked cookies in the evening were a nice touch too. The breakfasts were very good and free wi- fi was welcome. In terms of location, it was perfect - we went into Tofino for whale watching and up to Wi. I enjoyed the quaint, rustic charm of the lodge. My partner and I stayed at the Lodge at the Beach which was very couple friendly. I was unsatisfied with our ground level room facing the forest and when I asked to be on an upper floor facing the water (I was willing to pay extra), they upgraded us at no extra charge. Friendly staff,loved the freshly baked goods and relaxed feeling of the entire facility. Great location for visiting Pacific Rim National Park and the towns of Tofino and Ucluelet. Nice little beach after short walk. Continental Breakfast was great could take some back fora snack at lunch. Very laid back and informal. Not the big fancy steel towers of downtown Toronto but the cool ocean air. Really enjoyed the Lodge, it felt like home. It was very relaxing and had great views of the ocean from the lounge area. Would love to come back and watch the storms roll in. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and our dinner at the Headlands restaurant was most enjoyable. The biggest plus was the great Lodge room at the HEADLAND with it's wonderful views, roaring fire and comfortable furniture. How nice to have another option to our comfortable room - we played chess and listened to great music all Sunday evening - we had the place to ourselves. Bliss!. The setting was gorgeous, with wonderful views of the ocean. The breakfasts were very good and everyone loved the homemade sticky buns and croissants in the morning. The beds were very comfortable and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate any request. our room/cabin was a rustic delight.The lodge/dining facilities were comfortable and cosey with fireplace and lots of seating & tables. The included continental breakfast delicious with fresh baked goods. Upscale decor and excelent views of the ocean. Everything was first rate- food, atmosphere, attention to detail, room, comfortable bed, cheerfulness and enthusiasm of all staff members, in fact, nothing was below high standard. Of all these things, we found the staff just plain wonderful. I really liked the main lodge. It was very inviting. The continental breakfast was delicious and the scenery was spectacular. Our room included a private deck which we enjoyed sitting at when it was sunny. I liked our room and the decor. Very chilled, incredible room with a hot tub on the balcony overlooking the sea. Great breakfast, lovely staff. In the top 3 hotels we have ever stayed in (with the Glasshouse in Edinburgh and the Howtown in Cumbria). Highly recommended. The cabin was nice and spacious. The breakfast was good. The always available tea, coffee and muffins, cookies was nice. It was very quiet, only the sound of the sea. The beaches are all unique and it is always a changing sky and ocean Middle Beach lodge is very special with trails gardens .. Great breakfasts! Kind people there to help!. Very quiet setting, in rain forest, by the ocean. Fantastic lodge with big fireplace, very cozy , offers healthy/gourmet breakfast, drinks and baked goodies in the evening as well.Wonderful hospitality. The suite was private with a great view of the water. The suite was rustic with all the conviences of a 4 star. Great value for a world class view in one of the most beautiful spots in all of BC. We loved the quiet comfortable room and the chance to sit by the fire in the great room. The beach access was lovely. We felt like it was a secluded stay while still convenient to Tofino. Location, service, surf crashing against the rocks outside your window, the lodge, roaring fire, and great breakfast that keeps you going through lunch, best beds ever, amazing sleeps. Also, be prepared for rather small rooms! It was possible for guests to have dinner at the main lodge in the evening which we would have liked but it was set menu with no vegetarian options at all - no good for us!. The amenities were basic. You have to ask for things like a hairdryer at the front desk. The rooms were on the smaller side. I ate only one meal at night there it was good, fresh food, nice crab very informal the way I wanted it. Only that our bathroom wasn't as tidy as it could have been after housekeeping had been. Cobwebs in the bedroom - but honestly - that was a tiny flaw. The only negative was one day of the 5 day stay, the staff left a note outlining the work they had done in making up our room and said they had made-up the beds but they did not tend to the bed in the loft area of the cabin. The much advertised storm never arrived. The weather was typically drippy, but we expected that. After all, we live in the Northwest. Can't think of anything. Nothing. We can't wait to go back. It was dark inside the cabin, even with all the lights turned on, when the sun wasn't shining. It would be nice to have had a printed list of the TV stations. It was slow trying to find them on the information station. Room smelled of mould ( # 5 ) and patio door was a bit warped due to moisture, so it was hard to close and lock. This place could do with some soundproofing , could hear the toilet and sink from the room above. Decor was a bit rustic and dated, could do with an renovation. The bed was a bit hard, but served its purpose. nothing. We only stayed two nights - not long enough ;)). the bathroom floow was not cleaned up after the first night. Nothing. There was a lack of storage for clothing and suitcases. Rooms were very small but we spent little time in them. Guests were not too friendly. some staff members unhelpful - chore to put on more hot water for tea; room cleaning minimal; no ice at front desk, no hot water for shower on second morning & no apology from staff for either issue. Leaving :(. Shower floor in cabin needed scrubbing to remove stains and housekeeping came late after 3 pm. Outdoor BBQ was not cleaned or site maintained. Noticed no screening on windows throughout complex but mosquitoes getting in while trying to sleep. We liked everything! But can understand why other travellers reviewed the rooms as a bit tired. We didn't mind this at all though, in fact, it added to the charm. The only thing which could be improved would be thicker, full length curtains. Nothing. Good value in the the off-season. our room was below the laundry and so was noisy. Liked everything. Would definitely go back. Stairs No chair on balcony. All good. No complaints. none. We understood we were getting two queen beds with a balcony. The dead bolt lock didn't work. They bathtub didn't have any rubber strips and my husband fell out onto the floor. He was shaken up but it could have been much worse. Lack daily dinner. the reason you go to Tofino is the view of the ocean. We had to change rooms to get a view and was told it was one of the best views, but it was very obstructed. I would not recommend this for the view.

Middle Beach Lodge's cancellation policy is as follows: if the reservation is cancelled within 7 days of arrival the booking deposit of one night's room and tax is forfeit. If the reservation is cancelled 8 or more days prior to arrival it is subject to a CAD $20 processing fee. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in.
