Therate I had in my confirmation was for 164$ Cad. And the hotel charged189$. They did correct the error. I expected the pool to be warmer. (Heated pool implies not freezing)There wasn't much of a room service selection, and the only food optionin the hotel was the buffet. The internet did not work, the bathroom was small and dirty and the hallway had a bad smell - not the expected standard for a four star hotel.I had to visit the front desk four times before getting my room. The phone did not work, the plug was torn off the wall. I advised the front desk on my first night and was told that someone would come the next day to fix it. No one came. The price does not include breakfast and feel that the room is more like 3 star than 4 star. The thermostat seemed to be not working properly as it seemed cold in the room.This hotel is seriously overpriced and in dire need of a make over/ rennovation, and the carpets all over the hotel smell bad. The rooms were below average. Everything in the room was old.Hotels in Toronto and Montreal were much better value for money. Wrong placement in a regular room when I made a reservation for an executive suite. The poor design of the bathtub whirlpool. Water splashed over the floor everywhere, not enough towels and no towel hooks or bars in the bathroom. Yes. We did not like the hotel as it was not clean and was in need of renovation.The room lighting was poor. Not enough light in bathroom to apply make-up. Window drapes could not close to keep out night light for sleeping. Perhaps the area where my family's room was in an older part of the hotel but upon arrival the room was filthy and the bed had dirty linen as if it were unchanged from the last guests. When I returned to the front desk the young blonde girl was very helpful and accommodating. The cleaning associate arrived quickly and addressed the room deficiencies and was very friendly.Comfort, the service, the food and the fitness room.
