We had a wonderful stay and we will definately go again. The staff were delightful and very helpful in assisting with any of our needs.While some of the staff were relatively new they still went out of their way to answer any of our questions and to assist us with finding different locations in the area.Our food was delicious and we enjoyed ourselves immensly. We were a little dissapointed that the Spa area was under renovations although we still made the most of our visit. I was told that we could smoke on the terrace but that was incorrect, however we never let that interfere with the pleasure of our stay. The menu was a bit costly, the food was incredible but was a bit expensive. The hotel was great food and service but downtown main section we went out to eat and it was not great food and service was poor and it was very expensive. It would be a great idea to recommend only certain restaurants. Nothing comes to mind. A little expensive. For a 2-night stay, my total bill came to around $850. This is pretty high, given that the only additions to the nightly rate were a couple small, modest, in-room meals. The price was simply too high. Found ice but couldn't find soda machine on floor. Can't think of a thing. The menu in the main restaurant did not appeal to us and we felt that $15 for a tiny glass of Rose was expensive. Bathroom lighting very poor lighting for shaving etc. shower in bathroom was poorly designed, cramped and hard not to spray water out of - also dinner reservations were a bit hard to come by - not enough availability. Air conditioning did not work in the lounge. The price. Our food in general was very mediocre and expensive! For the rate we paid for our ordinary room, (over $1000 for 2 nights) our lousy breakfast should have been free! Wonderful place to stay - just don't eat here! Also - only analog tv?! Really?!!. Wine to expensive, you really need to sort that out in your country, fine dining was very noisy due to function in next room and doors left open!.
