  Our room was lovely with a beautiful view of the harbour. The Inn itself was very unique in the way that well kept older stately homes can be. It was very comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming.   Although our booking was at the Louisbourg Heritage House, we actually ended up in the (nearly) adjoining property, the Louisbourg Harbour Inn, under joint ownership and management. No problem, in fact better because the Harbour Inn is a bit closer to the water and hosts breakfast for both properties. The property is meticulously maintained and well run by Parker and his team and we could not have asked for more in a B - Lovely room, the Matthew room. Fabulous bathroom and very comfortable bed. Use bug spray at night, outside. No seeums. In room all windows open and are screened. Lovely large bathroom and excellent breakfast. Went to Ceilidh @ the Louisburg Play house about 2 blocks away. Fabulous.

  Our accommodation was superb. The suite was bright and immaculate and the kitchen completely stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc. Bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the beautiful view of the ocean and the Fort of Louisbourg. The Beggar's Banquet was great fun and the food was plentiful and delicious. The owners are very nice and were more than willing to give recommendations on places to eat. Louisbourg is not a "happening" town but their local theatre was great. I did not try their food here, but the room made up for the fact that rates do not include food.

  It was located within a short travel distance to both Sydney and Louisburg, we were there for the 300th celebration of the fort and to see Sydney. My daughter got sick and had to stay in the facility when we travelled and she was comfortable during that time - This was a great find - we could have lived here!
