Set among the tall pines and overlooking the rivers of Jasper National Park, this lodge features a fine restaurant and wood-burning fireplaces. The town of Jasper is 2 km away. Local hardwoods and stones are used in the building of the Tekarra Lodge cabins and rooms. Each cabin also features a stone fireplace and a balcony. Tekarra Restaurant serves an expert-made choice of local and global dishes in a quaint setting. Reservations may be needed on some nights. Guests of the pet-friendly Tekarra hike the lodge’s trails or enjoy the children’s playground. Bikes, binoculars and portable DVD players can also be rented. No TVs are found at the lodge. During the summer season, guests can enjoy an array of outdoor activities such as a fitness bootcamp, children's scavenger hunt and a magic show. The Marmot Basin is 28 minutes' drive from Tekarra Lodge. The Jasper Tramway is 4 km away.

I loved that there was no tv. I loved the real fireplace and free wood that was provided. I loved the location as the view was majestic and we were far enough away from town to hear the silence of the night. The board games that were provided at the front desk. The accommodation was lovely. It had everything you need and we really enjoyed the large decking area and picnic table which we were able to sit out during the day and evenings. We also enjoyed the private position of the lodge that we stayed in.
all reviews » I love the fact that the cabins were rustic and felt like being away with no distractions of modern electronics, being able to hear water rushing down below and the wind within the trees.It was very quiet where a person could say "finally peace". Nice staff, excellent value with breakfast included in the stay. Hot Breakfast Buffet was well maintained and had good choices. Had a Dinner meal at restraunt and It was world class Dinning for reasonable prices. The fantastic view from the edge of the cliff overlooking the river basin. The perfect position of the site and its closeness to the town. Seeing Elk walk through the town and in the river basin. The service was excellent. We asked for a barbecue and it was delivered promptly. We left some property which was quickly located by staff and forwarded on to us. The cabins were very clean. Really liked the cabin like lodging, comfort and cleanliness. The beds were comfortable and surroundings were quiet and tranquil with nice view of the river valley only a few steps away. Found the staff very friendly and helpful. The site on top of the cliff overlooking the river convergence was idyllic and had a very holiday/relaxed feel about it. Breakfasts were good. The place is great, it's cozy, comfortable and out of the hussle and bustle. Still minutes to down town. Really like the cabin styile accomodtaion. All staff were super friendly. Our cabin wasn't big but it was so sweet :) and it is where i got engaged. Loved the seats over looking the river, great place to sit in early evening with a pre dinner drink. The place was very nice but a little bit expensive for that kind of cabin. Everything was good. Excellent location. Had a great meal and hike from the property. They accomodated our late check in and left key at office. Having to leave. a couple of bugs...not bed bugs... in the room. the lodge rooms in the main building are very small and cramped. however, they serve their purpose okay and we enjoyed our stay. There was no salad bowl or salad servers. Had expected a cabin when I booked but on reflection I only booked a room above the restaurant and was disappointed. My error but if you want a cabin make sure you actually specifically book one. Nothing. Little expensive for us. Cabins are small and larger folk may find them cramped, especially the bathrooms. I can't say anything bad. Found kitchen and stove on the small side.. Would recommend people prep food at home if they plan on eating in. The knifes were dull. We had booked a double room and were given a twin. This was soon sorted. Decoration a little tired and the walls were paper thin we could hear everything that was said by our neighbours. I wish the bedrooms were a little bigger. Was hard with older people to get in and out of bed. Price is high, but that is the entire area and not just this hotel. No complaints. A bit pricey but so was everything else we looked at before booking in Jasper. Hot water tank could not keep up with two people showering - ran out of hot water very quickly!. Lovely cabin, just a little compact for 5. maybe newer appliances. Needs a bit of refresh. kitchen sort of small without a microwave/dishwasher. Small shower cutting board for kitchen. The room and beds are too small. Wood a bit light on . No exhaust fan for cooking. beds a little small.... For the age of the lodge, it was overpriced. Expected larger and more luxury for price. It's a bit expensive. Slightly out of town. Our room was a little small and had to move furniture around in order to walk in the room. But, it was a nice place to rest and relax after the trip through the mountains. Our bed was uncomfortable, sagged in the middle. The cabins were very small. Size of Fridge when preparing meals for 10 adults. no tv. Could be little bit cheaper. the size of the cabins. much smaller than showed in the pictures. breakfast to take away poor the last day. The pice of the cabin, a little but expensive . Lodge room was small and time to put some money into upgrades.the dining room was very loud and boisterous. The food was excellent but not the place for a quiet romantic dinner. Sink faucet in bathroom, weird and cumbersome flow ie small spray in multiple directions.
