I love that it close to walk to do shopping. Lots of shopping and places to eat close by. We had a king suite it was nice and roomy as we we stayed 4 nights. Super 8 hotels never seem to disappoint us this is our 2nd one we have stayed at. -closeness to shopping and restaurants -close to highways and major city arteries -close to family -budget friendly -pleasant staff -breakfast room,where we could also meet with our guests during the day.
all reviews » The room was a great size an it was split so when I woke up I could watch tv without interupting my partner. It was extremely nice as well as cost effective. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean. I will be coming back the end of March and am looking forward to trying out the pool. Location to family living in Calgary. Location may not be appropriate if you don't need to be in the far south part of Calgary. The pool and slide. The facilities in room, fridge, microwave. Ice making machines on every floor. Breakfast was quite good. Was close to the South Health Centre where we had to be for medical testing-- Wonderfully quiet rooms--and comfortable beds!!. The staff at this hotel were simply fantastic. Very friendly, and were very accommodating. Always had a smile for you. We stayed in the King Suite, which was spacious, clean and great layout plan. The hotel was clean and staff friendly. rooms were very comfortable, staff friendly, breakfast was good and offered a decent choice of breakfast items. closeness to spruce meadows. near shopping and good restaurants.the room was very comfortable and clean. Clean rooms. location. was ok. I am a smoker and got a smoking room. I know that lingering smoke smells but I found that my room really smelled bad even though there was an air purifier in it. The jacuzzi wasn't working. I feel that the cost is a bit much. The rooms, I feel, were not bright enough, unless you turned on all of the lights, even during the day. The couch was getting shabby, torn cushions and not very comfortable. room coffee was horrible. the fact that we never received a receipt for our stay. we found the clerk lacking in cordiality and not very helpful.I am pretty certain we will not be back. Hot tub wasn't hot enough. There was hair all over my bed as well as the shower was dirty I had to clean it myself before I got in. parking is limited, had to park in the fire lane the other day with several other vehicles. Hot tub was Luke warm. Noise in the hallway, ice machine not working on our floor. the access was a little confusing for someone like me, coming from a small town and trying to find the entrance and parking, was lucky got a spot right outside the front. Not enough counter space in the breakfast room. You had to balance your plate while you moved the lid for the eggs, then replace the lid and do the same for the bacon. You could not set your plate down anywhere near the eggs or bacon. I even witnessed someone dropping their plate because there was no room. I was to meet my daughter coming from BC, but she thought she might not make it, so I tried to cancel my reservation, but could not. I tried to make it another weekend, but could not. Just wishing you could be more flexible with the reservations. Room temperature control was a little tricky as there was no thermometer in the room. At first it was cold. We raised it and it became too warm. Nothing negative. we were in the old section so the bathroom sink taps need new ones, water running all the time... that's it cathy reid maple ridge bc. Was difficult to find entrance. Parking was a challenge. Pool was very cold. room was once a smoking room. smelled of smoke. burn marks on carpet, smelled dirty and old before its time. the room had a stale smell to them. No wifi. Wifi did not work even though it was advertised. Front desk staff said it was too busy. Guests take their chances. The cheap furniture and the lack of value for money. Loud in hallways in the morning, could hear cleaning staff before 9 am. Pillows were not that comfortable. bathroom wasn't supplied everyday. had to get toilette paper from cart ourselves. room for breakfast too small to accommodate the crowd staff could have had a few more smiles poor service for $169/night. we stayed at this hotel on 2 different times during our trip. first 1 day and then 4 days. on the second time we had trouble with housekeeping not cleaning up the room on the second night there and then again on the next night. complaining to the front desk we had to go get our fresh towels there if we wanted them and were assured our room would be done the next day. but it wasnt. obviously making the hotel staff seem worse than they probably were. Carpet in the floor was sticky...could not take my shoes off. I didn't like having reservations, showing up and being told, I do not have reservations,because only at that hotel they said the card used for booking was invalid, all other hotels had no problem...so in turn was charged even more on top of the extremely high rate which was elevated due to an oil convention , got stuck in a small smoking room and cost me over 500.00 dollars Unless something is done,I would never stay at the chain again in my travels....... No customer service Lack of customer care.
