Awesome staff, very friendly and accommodating. The fellow from the restaurant informed us that he wasn't open for business for another hour and a half, but when he noticed how hungry we were, he took pity on us and served a wonderful pizza. I like the staff there were very nice and polite. The services received was excellent from the staff. I like the morning breakfast as well. Anytime I visit calgary Canada again I will love to stay in your hotel again.
all reviews » I liked the comfortable atmosphere of the hotel and the customer service at the reception with easy procedures and a nice smile. I also appreciate the very affordable price for a two double bed room. The front desk staff were very friendly and let us store our bags when we showed up early. There was always a friendly "hello" Close to transportation and a quick trip into city center. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Gave us great information and were always happy to answer our questions. The hotel was beautiful, way better than we had anticipated!. The beds were so comfortable! The rooms were newly renovated which is a bonus. Loved that the room had a fridge! And the continental breakfast was very much appreciated!. I appreciated the speed and convenience at which I was able to make the booking through letsbookhotel.com online and how the hotel staff handled the booking seamlessly. I can't really add much more then I've said in previous reviews. I stay there whenever I go to Calgary. L love the staff. Rooms are always clean & comfortable. We came from another city to Calgary for a concert and he gave us step-by-step directions to get to the train. Went for calgary stampede and the accomodation was within walking distance to the showgrounds. Breakfast was included in price of stay also. No rubbish bin only a black plastic bag to put rubbish in. The lady who was overseeing the breakfast really needs to learn to smile and greet people with at least a good morning. Noisy drinks/ice machine next to room could be heard all night. I didn't like standing in line for an hour to check in because there was one person working at the front desk and no one for him to call for assistance. I didn't like an employee pushing my friends to check out at 8:45 am by repeatedly saying "check out now?". Window was pretty dirty and they didn't refill our toilet paper. Parking a bit tight. Room and bathroom a bit on the smaller side but not a major problem. Breakfast is just okay, they need to change the waffle mix they use because it really doesn't taste very good. The parking is really bad. As long as you drive a small car and don't come when the bar downstairs is busy you're fine but otherwise it's not parking friendly at all. There was no water slide. Room did have a smell.. possibly a smoking room before. Room was over the Pub Saturday night... LOUD MUSIC with 4 kids. Manager did provide a restaurant credit for room inconvenience. Breakfast choice was limited. did not get towels, or coffee cups on one of days I was at the hotel no elevator to first floor had to carry my bags up two flights of stairs. Nothing. The beds unconvertible. The staff in the breakfast area they are look grumpy Every morning.. Ice machine was broke. Food Outlets. Limited choice. How cheap the breakfast was for a hotel of such quality. Limited cooked food available and ALL served with disposable plates and cutlery. Quite a massive let down to an otherwise fantastic stay. no room service. Continental breakfast is pretty poor and unhealthy. The breakfast was poor. The room was not very clean. There was a large stain on the carpet (Room 114). None of the lights worked because they were all unplugged. This would be enough of a reason not to return to this hotel. Paper thin walls. Could hear conversations and the tv from the room next door. Room and hallways smelt like deep fried stale prawns and smoke. Really bad smell, made me quite sick in the stomach. When checking in the clerk informed us we had been upgraded to a double queen room when we had paid extra for a king, not what we wished to hear. Carpet in room requires stretching and or replacing, very easy to trip on if not careful. Rug needs stretching. Romm was hard to control heat. Average amenities. Wireless router not strong enough to be used in the room. (We had 3 computers; very frustrating). Had to park around the back and then found we could not get into the motel because the door was locked but the buzzer was broken. I mentioned it to 3 staff members. They knew it was broken yet nothing was done about it. My family and l felt unsafe having to walk around to the front entrance from that secluded parking lot. small rooms, air conditioner right beside bed, no window for outside air,. That the non smoking rooms where up many stairs! Very difficult with heavy luggage. People should be made aware in case they have mobility issues. Booked and payed for a suite but didn't get one! Unless you call king size bed and 1 chair a suite... Parking iss terrible. Price was too much, even if the pope was in town. old facilities. Both the breakfast area and the standard breakfast options were well below my minimum acceptable expectations. beds were horrible / very hard / transit noise and a water leak from the roof into the tub which kept us awake throughout the night. no offer of any kind for the poor room. breakfast very poor - run out of food. smoke smell in both rooms, sink leaked so had to change rooms. Would not go back bc of the old smoke smell tho added was the " view" of a roof top ac unit was unappealling. Staff were 10/10.
