I stayed solo at Pavillon d'Orient 13-19 Feb in room 18. I was met at the airport with my driver holding a sign and driven to the hotel in a Toyota Camry. I was welcomed with a drink and a cold towel. Check-in was quick and they carried my bag to the room which was on the 2nd floor (US)/1st floor (European). Breakfast, 25 min massage, bottle of Chilean red wine, daily fruit basket and tuk tuk driver (sunrise to 2200) were included. The room was good size with a queen size bed and mosquito netti.

Everything about Pavillon d'Orient is fantastic. The beautiful grounds and pool, the massages, the huge rooms, the delicious food and drink and most of all, the friendly and fun staff. It was the highlight of our SE Asia trip. The service, the location, the friendliness of the staff, the personal tuk tuk driver (who was the kindest person willing to take you wherever, whenever you desired), the Cambodian tail we received every evening at our room, the suggestions for restaurants and helpfulness to our demands (reservations, tour guides...). Staff were friendly and helpfull. Good size room, clean with comfortable bed and private balcony overlooking a great simming pool. Free extras were great, ie, tuk-tuk on call to take us anywhere we liked all day until 10pm, complimentary massage. Good breakfast. The staff was amazing and I did appreciate: always looking after you, smiling, welcoming. A driver is at your disposal for traveling in the city, going in the airport. The hotel can book restaurant, visit with guide in the temples, quad, ... The location was ideal not being oin the centre. Close to temples. The staff were fantastic. Very friendly staff. Away from the noisy center. I liked it all. Great breakfast. Leaving the hotel. We wanted to stay longer. Fair distance from town centre but OK with free tuk-tuk. Noisy ceiling fan. Some noise from construction of new hotel next door. A lot of insects and lezards in the hotel. But this is due the weather (hot and humid) not to the cleanliness of the hotel. The beds were a bit too firm for my liking but apart from that I could not fault the hotel. Nothing significant. Everything was good. Nothing. Everything was just perfect. Well, one could say it would have been better to be closer to the city but with a full time Tuk Tuk driver, the ten minute drive to the city was not an issue! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. That I didn't stay more... Nothing. Location is little bit far from the old market, but it can be cover by the free tuktuk. About 10 mins out of town but hotel supplied free tuk tuks so it didn't really matter. nothing. Ther wasn't anything I didn't like. Insects everywhere. Not near anything else.
