This hotel is in a great location on the promenade with sea views.The rooms had triple glazing so it was very quiet. We had dinner in their restaurant "Francis Drake" and the food was excellent quality...one of the best restaurants in Balchik. Rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated which can be difficult to find in Bulgaria! I would definitely recommend to stay in this hotel.

Lovely view!!! The Regina Maria Castle is nearby at 10 mins walk in case you wanna visit . Also they have a nice clean beach a bit further called New Mistral Beach. Their staff were nice and friendly but most of all they were funny. -Great location with excellent view. -Air conditioner was working fine -Even considering the cons I enumerated, the hotel is quite ok, I would give an overall mark of 7 to my experience there. The hotel Mistral has always been the place to stay while golfing on the Black Sea. The staff are accomodating and friendly. Rooms are clean and confortable. All rooms have good views. Staff was helpful and nice. The hotel location - in the Marina area - and the view from the room. The quietude (despite being towards the terraces). Excellent location, 10m from the Black Sea. I liked the Botanical Garden, the sea food and the seafront (althought an area was partially under construction). I have stayed here a few times and wouldnt consider anywhere else in Balchik. Poor breakfast (continental-style breakfast with low quality food - don't even try the "orange juice") There was an unpleasant odour in the bathroom It was extremely hard to set the water temperature in the shower due to faulty faucets and variations in water pressure The chairs on the balcony did not have backrests. - the towels are ancient, gray instead of pure white, but clean (I received "white" towels only 2 days of 12) - it took two days to obtain a secondary key for our double-room - the bathroom was really bad smelling in both rooms (without being our fault :-) ) - the included breakfast was really poor, after the first day I went to another location to take breakfast (for the rest of the days I was there). Nothing!. The pillows. The cocktails in the hotel bar. The furniture in the room seems a little bit outdated. It's more a 3 star hotel. The furniture is looking old. There is an old TV which shouldn't be present in a 4 star hotel. The breakfast could be improved. A proper beach is missing and the the streets ( the asphalt) is very bad. unfortunatly this time there was a party going on below my room and the noise kept me awake. The staff from the restaurant was not very nice with the guests. very poor breakfast. Can't think of much, maybe a little high price for local ranges. Broken plates and problems with the shower. No wifi in room (3rd floor , but it was in tha lobby), poor breakfast menu. The breakfast was a bit poor and the staff in the restaurant were not smiling and welcoming. I suppose the hotel is an old one. One can see that they've made a lot of improvements, but there are still some old installations in the hotel. But, no reason not to recommend this hotel !. No bathtub. A/C was broken or functioned poorly. Foooood. Breakfast was poor. Definitely is not a 4 star hotel. 3 stars maximum. WiFi didn't worked in the room. Breakfast is poor. Bathroom door could not be closed, needed repairments. For this money don't worth the value, I suggest Regina Maria hotel.
