  We loved the staff at the Ipanema Inn. Everyone there spoke English and were extremely helpful in finding excursions, transportation, food etc.. We had a large group of 6 (2 seniors and 2 children under 9) which made for some difficult logistics when traveling and the staff here made everything easy. Also, the a/c unit was quiet and the shower was good too. - Hotel staff very attentative and helpful. Probably the best value for money in the area. Breakfast simple but sufficient. Same as the rooms. Although I stayed in a room with street view, there is no noise. Definitely a good option for those who want good location and good service without being ripped off.

  We stayed here for a week and we had a wonderful time. The hotel looks old but our room was nice and clean. You should know that most of the hotels in Rio are old .the staff were friendly and helpful. But the best part is the location , it's in one of the best part of rio which leblon shops and restaurant are in walking distance.   We stayed at the sol Ipanema for 3 nights at the beginning of March. We chose a deluxe sea view room and it didn't disappoint. We were on the 11th floor and had fabulous views in both directions. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast every morning and had 2 evening meals in the restaurant, the second time... what people say » because the rain was too heavy to venture out! Both meals were of a good quality. Other guests commented on the small rooftop pool but quite frankly - Incredible location..very clean and nice rooms. Though I had to wait about an hour to check in but the front desk infact particularly Mr. Leonardo was kind enough to check me into a spacious sea view room though I had a mountain view booking. The lobby is quite comfortable and they serve you very well and too be true very well priced. The roof top bar & pool again are a joy giving a breathtaking view of the beach all around. To sum up a great place to stay and I would return soon..
