We loved the staff at the Ipanema Inn. Everyone there spoke English and were extremely helpful in finding excursions, transportation, food etc.. We had a large group of 6 (2 seniors and 2 children under 9) which made for some difficult logistics when traveling and the staff here made everything easy. The hotel has been refurbished, is clean, comfortable and the staff and breakfast are great. It is close to shopping, restaurants and close to the beach. Most of the staff speak English. We had a spacious family suite with a terrace and beach view. Also, the a/c unit was quiet and the shower was good too.

The hotel front desk & concierge taff were excellent, very friendly, and provided excellent information/touring suggestions. Additionally there was always someone on duty who spoke very good English! Location on Impenama Beach was perfect although it has less "nightlife" than the popular Cococabana Beach. Impanema Beach is a much prettier beach & we were never concerned about safety.
