The front desk service was great, especially the girl that was there during the day (forgot her name, sorry!) -- she spoke terrific English, was very patient with our questions, and helped us book a good deal for our travels to the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls. The breakfast was fantastic, all sorts of fruits, breads, cakes, eggs. The locations is a bit of a walk from town, but is conveniently located right next to the bus stop for the bus that takes you to the airport & the Brazilian sid.
all reviews » Staff were fantastic, spoke brilliant English and arranged numerous tours and taxi's for us. Really helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the room was comfortable. Walking to Downtown takes about 10 minutes. A laundrette is about 4 mind walk. Staff offered lots of helpful advice. We extended our stay by two nights after the first night, staff advised they could not charge us the same rate for those nights at reception and advised we just book again on letsbookhotel.com which was fine by us. Wifi. We are really happy we choosed Pousada Caroline for our stay in Foz do Iguazu. It is actually called Charm Iguazu. Very nice and English speaking and helpfull staff! Great location for tourist reasons. Buses to/from the Airport, Brazilian Iguazu falls and Argentinian Iguazu falls leaves form the bus stop 150m from the hotel (Cataratas Av.) Great super market Muffato 600m from the Hotel. What more to tell you? Perfect breakfasts, nice small swimming pool, free WiFi. We recommend it!. Extremely friendly and courteous staff. Discounts on tour packages (passeios) for Foz do Iguazu Park. Very nice selections for breakfast. Some great bargains at the little gift shop in the Reception lobby. Appreciated the air conditioning. My neighbor's rooster who sang for me every morning!. Spacious, light room, comfortable firm bed. Lots of storage space. Jacuzzi bath! And a kettle in the room. Buffet breakfast had a wide range of food - fruit, cheese, bread, lots of cake, and some meat things. Good breakfast, rooms cleaned every dag, good shower with hot water. The staff speaks good english and french and can pick you up from the airport for free, and are very helpfull in every other way. The staff were extremely helpful, and although it´s not located in the middle of town, it´s only a short walk to the restaurants, and the bus stop for Iguazu Falls is just around the corner. We were very happy with our stay at the Pousada Carolina. It was very neat and clean, the breakfasts were great and the staff was excellent. A wonderful experience in Brazil. The location is good, the room I stayed in is spacious and was clean, staff is attentive. Price. On the downside, the room was a bit cramped, and there were mosquitoes. Not so much a negative as a warning, the driver of the minibus drives like an f1 Raleigh driver, speeding up hard and braking at the last minute for speed bumps and other vehicles, if you get travel sickness, maybe go prepared for a white knuckle ride. Staff not very knowledgable/reliable about tourist information. For example, they didn't know there was a $100 visa for Americans crossing into Argentina. And there was a lot of confusion about the shuttle hat was supposed to pick us up at the airport; it finally came about 20-30 minutes late. TV in my room didn't work. Room key was "cranky". A small, and vegetarian complaint, but I wish they didn't put ham in the eggs at breakfast. Everything else about our stay was fantastic. The location is not optimal as it is located between the town and the airport, but it takes 15 min to walk to the town and the first super market. For the same price we would have liked to stay in a more central area. The main building looks very nice, but our room was in the second newer building which is not quite as nice, has a much smaller pool (almost like a big bath tab), and no outside area for sun bathing. Rooms a bit cramped and need updating. Room a little but noisy bear the 24 hr reception but otherwise okay. I would have liked a biat more information about the town, how to get around, especially since the hostel was a bit out of the way. Got to Cataratas OK but no information about the town. Can be a bit noisy when full of guests. Smallness of room and tiny bathroom was still ok Doors were dirty from outside with simple lock. Needles in drawer. No bar or restaurant. The mattress seemed to have been picked off someone's garbage or garbage dump. Breakfast is ok if you are fine with bread, cake, cheese, ham and fruit; didn't have butter, only margerine. There were cucarachas in the bathroom everyday. They climbed to the towels. Really awful. We killed one on Friday and there was another on Saturday.
