Everything! The hotel had arranged for airport pick-up although I had to phone them from Rio. Got there fairly late but due to the hotel booking service moving their office to Rio, the hotel had no booking for us. This also was the reason I had not got any responses to my emails regarding transportation from the Airport, hence the need to telephone them from Rio. Anyway, because of the hassle, the reception manager upgraded us from a Luxury room to a super deluxe room with an outlook to the Fal.

Hearing the cataratas from one's room, watching various huge and colourful reptiles take in the sun from one's window, great & plentiful toiletries,hardwood floors which are a treat to the soles of one's feet, room decoration like in the movies,breakfast from heaven with sparkling wine,smoked salmon and whatever o. This hotel is situated in the park itself and very close to the falls, you can enjoy a great view from your room, you can have a walk along the falls in the evening, when there is no turists there, nobody will disturb you, you can take great pictures without a crowd of people and just feel a pleasure of the moment much deeper. Because of location in the protected zone there are a lot of wild animals around you, you can just feed nasua with some bread during your breakfast or watch some wild boa. Location fabulous. Amazing hotel - 5 star service, just like being in a top London hotel for service and quality of everything, from toiletries to the food. Food absolutely amazing (of course, its expensive, it costs 122R$ per person for Brazilian BBQ or 70R$ for a main course in the other restaurant). Rooms gorgeous, very comfy beds, nice pool. This is supposed to be a luxury hotel and it is definitely a luxury hotel. I have never seen such a perfect service. The personnel is just wonderful, always smily, trying to do everything they can to satisfy your needs. The room is made up twice a day (in the morning when you have breakfast and once again in the evening when you have dinner). The rooms are really nice, with a nice bathroom as well. The swimming pool is really nice and here again the service is great (they bring . We were customers 1978 to 1994 to visit customers in Cidade del Este before Brazil became na open Market. Now the hotel is wonderful and there was inly one real complaint; We had a lixury room overlooking the Falls but the bathroom planning were very poor. Whereas before we Always had a large shower and no bath. Now there was a small narrow bath with a shower abovei it which was very narrow and most unsuitable. The shower cutain was a mini and you had to take great care to avoid slipping the wa. A magnificent hotel and experience. The whole place is awesome, from the wonderful staff, the champagne breakfast to the Falls immersion walk. It's perfectly situated, so superior to the Argentinian "Sheraton" option.The 7.30am walk to the falls is a religious experience. I was all alone surrounded by the sheer stupendous power of nature in all it's magnificence. For those undecided one could really leave out the "other" side it's so much time, hassle and expense to get there and then it's "so . Stunning location, unbelievably close to the falls. For all the fabulous experience this hotel offers, one has to pay a steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep price, but I guess it can't be helped !. Beginning from the gate to the protected area speed limit is around 40 km per hour because of the animals which coud be crossing the road and there is still a long distance between gate and hotel, so it can be really annoying to drive so slow, it can take around 20 minutes just to get there. And you have to be ready to change your clothes all day long, because it's so wet in the park because of the falls :) But it's worth it, of course. Nothing. very expensive (especially for brazil) but you pay for the exclusivity of being in the only hotel in the park. It hurt a bit my wallet but hey, it was definitely worth it!!. More confort in the room; You need free shuttle bus to airport and downtown. The rooms are small. nothing. Price. Also every trip from the hotel to the city of Foz or somewhere else is quite long, since hotel is located inside the National Park 18km from the gates, so the only way to get in and out is to use shuttle arranged by the hotel and it really takes quite a lot of time. The views of the falls are exceptional. Shower over bath, fluctuating water temperature in the shower, knock on the room next door sounds as if it's on your door. At the time we have been there, there was An event in font of the hotel, quite noisy and strange types in the hotel. The a la carte restaurant has no ambiance and quite expensive. Lot of helicopters flew over the falls, hotel and swimmingpool. This was really very noisy!. The price is very expensive due to it does not have any competition. It's located right in the middle of national park. Absolutely nothing! (Pity a few more hotels were like this.). I really can't think of anything negative to say!. Nothing. Absence of instructions about how to arrive by car (it took 30 minutes to work out what to do as cars are not allowed in the Iguaçu National Park), absence of dress code for dinner (people showed up in track suits!!!). - Lots of mosqetos and hotel should do something... Like providing anti insects spray, insect catching machine... etc.,. - Hotel's guests should't pay a fee for the park access since the hotel inside the park. Room service food not that good. We have to park the car at the entrance of the park, and this is far from the hotel 13 km. It is high priced. no coffee machine in rooms. We have to leave the room too early. No tea or coffe in room- ordered taxi with 2 people at gate no taxi for us & another passé near- shuttle had to take us at 4 am! Would of missed flight. Nothing, it is a very nice country. The price. nothing. Unlike the Sheraton on the Argentina side, the food was extremely expensive. When reals were converted into US dollars most of the food and drinks were nearly double the cost making the 1 night stay not worth it. If I had known I would have stayed another night on the Argentina side of which for less money I could have stayed in my falls view room and just taken a return taxi to see brazil side.While the food was good (buffet and ala carte), it was not exceptional. It was like every other restaurant we have been in in Brazil. I have been working in SP, Brazil for the last three months. And the pricing was way too high (buffet for $115 USD per person is the highest in the world that I have encountered). I have been traveling for the last 30 years.
