It was very good value and whilst they were upgrading it was immaculate,cosy and inviting and the staff, especially Roger, were extremelyhelpful and friendly. I do not like the noise and air condition from a/c. I booked it last minute on a summer day weekend, so 100euros for a single room is not unexpected, but I would be upset to pay that much for a stuffy room in other circumstances. Small room,a little bit over rated/priced. I arrived at about midday and was informed that I could not check in before 3 pm. Although this is often stated, at most hotels they at least say that they will check and see whether the room is ready. the receptionist made absolutely no effort so to do and was completely inflexible. I only had a short time in Ostend and this ruined my day. the heating one tempreture set for all rooms (underfloor heating i think) it was very hot i could not find a controll unit i did have the flu though a bottle of water in the room would have been nice. The rooms are old, not like what is in the internet site.The staff is cold and the bathroom needs a rennovation.
