What people say
The owner was very welcoming and full of information on Brugge. The house was very charming and the themed rooms added a little something interesting and different to the usual hotel/bandb style room. The breakfast was very generous and there was enough left over for a snack later in the day. The location was great aswell, on a nice quiet street but only a short walk to the centre. The owner, Hugo, was very friendly and nice. It was a BIG room and we had access to an even bigger living room. One of the nicest places I have yet stayed in for Europe. The location was close to everything. We walked every where. The Japanese room was very charming. I liked all the privacy and having breakfast brought to our living and dining room. Fantastic!. all reviews »
Hugo the owner was very welcoming and helpful - he even gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. The room was spacious and comfortable and we had the whole first floor to ourselves. The location is great about 10 mins walk to the main square and a great bar just downstairs. the room was beautifully decorated, appreciated breakfast being served in the room, good location, 6min away from the grand place, friendly staff. One of the best BandB I've ever gone to!. Everything! Hugo was an exceptional host , very helpful. The room was lovely and there was so much more that we did not expect.Great location! Basically we loved everything about this place. Our stay at the lady jane was fantastic the hotel was lovely and Hugo (proprietor) was so helpful and welcoming we will definately be going back. The owner, Hugo, was very hospitable and happy to help on any request. The breakfasts were fantastic and the house utterly beautiful. Room/facilities homely and interesting, caring host, privateness, tea and coffee making facilities, good breakfast in one's room. The room was beautiful and the fresh breakfast was very tasty. Location was great, only 10 mins to the main market square. Very nice host. Cozy and comfortable room, good breakfast. The most amazing B and B we have ever stayed. Great fun !. This is a fabulous place; wonderful value for money.helpfullness of Hugo and the fantastic breakfast. one of the best beds i've ever slept in!. It was fantastic for me and my son and the owner Mr. Hugo did his best all the time. We missed him!. hotel was close to city centre and the breakfast was plentiful-highly recomended.Great room, very helpful owner and a fab breakfast. The place itself is full of character, the bed was comfortable, the owner was relaxed and helpful, the breakfast was good (and there was enough to make a packed lunch). It's fairly central too, a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful city of Bruges. The decoration of the rooms, the location and the friendly owner, not in this order. The personal service and having the breakfast brought to the room. The breackfast was yummy and Hugo made our stay very welcoming. Staff's kindness; Breakfast; Position; Room. The friendliness of the owner. We liked the comfort and quietness of the room. The accommodation is very close to the old part of Bruges close to the Burg and Markt so it is easy to walk into the town The breakfasts were very varied and more than enough to set us up for the day. The proprietor, Hugo, was very friendly and attentive to our stay and comfort.Wonderful place, Hugo is a great host. Clean, great location. easy to walk to downtown Bruges. Hugo, the owner, is very friendly and really gives you the feeling you can do as you please. And he knows a lot about wine! We felt very much at home. We liked our African room, very spacious, great flatscreen tv and true: the stairs to the bed could be a bit tricky for older people.Bedroom and sitting room combined, ability to come and go at any time, good local facilities to eat and drink, short and easy access to city. The owner, his daughter and his staff could not have been more helpful. We hope to return. Breakfast was excellent, the character of the themed room (English room) and very helpful staff. a huge amount of attention to detail - quite an eccentric venue but great if you go with the flow. An amazing property. Hugo couldn't have been more friendly. It was a fun experience, nothing at all bad to say.The bed in the Japan room was a little hard, but we had 3 nights great sleep so it wasn't really an issue in the end!. We had to share the bathroom for the particular rooma we chose. This was ok for the first 2 nights but then some inconsiderate people arrived and it was quite annoying that they spent ages in the bathroom. I would go back but I would book the room with the en-suite. the bathroom is shared by the occupants of the two english/african rooms. Sharing the bathroom. We had to share a bathroom witch was not stated on the info about the b n b but it did not course a prob (just would have liked to know). shared bathroom. Also not clearly advised by booking.com. It was not indicated that we had to share our bathroom + toilet. We did not mind during our stay, but it would have been nice to know in advance. My room was up 2 flights of stairs, but this was my own fault as I did not make it clear when I booked, that my wife and I are senior citizens.
