Witten Leeuw is recently renovated in 2017. It offers rooms in Bruges city centre and is situated 100 m from the Beguinage. The house dates from 1580 and includes a swimming pool and free WiFi. Each room at B&B Den Witten Leeuw has original features such as wooden beams or traditional windows. All of the rooms also have a modern bathroom and an Auping bed. Guests can make use of the various communal areas including a reception room, which includes a fireplace which guests can sit around. It also features a sunny conservatory which also provides places to sit and relax. The accommodation has a veranda which leads out onto the spacious garden with a sun terrace. Guests can enjoy fresh coffee all day long, as well as various other drinks. In the months July and August guests are able to use the swimming pool situated in the garden, if the weather permits The Grote Markt, featuring the Belfry, is a 10-minute walk from guesthouse. The Halve Maan Brewery is situated next to Den Witten Leeuw. Bruges Railway Station is 1.4 km away.

This is a great place to stay -- location, hosts, room and bath, service. I can recommend this BandB without reservation. The photos do not do the rooms justice. The room is spacious and elegantly appointed. The bath is brand new and luxurious. Ann is a gracious and helpful host. I left my too heavy suitcase at the hotel I first stayed at in Bruges and her husband went to pick it up for me.
all reviews » The owner, Anne, could not have been kinder or more helpful. The guest house is beautifully situated in, we discovered, probably the nicest part of Bruges. The house, our room, and the garden were all to a very high standard of comfort and decoration; the breakfast was excellent, with as much as anyone could possibly want. This is one of the very best places we have ever stayed at.We were made to feel very welcome and the service was excellent. The location of the hotel was within 5-10 minutes walking distance from the coach station and easy to find. Ann was an brilliant host. We are definately going back to Bruges next year and will stay in the same hotel without hesitation. The Lake of Love is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and worth a visit. This BandB is fabulous! Great location, short walking distance to the station and central to all attractions etc, and quiet at night time. The room was great, and the whole place is cosy, modern in the right places, quirky in the right places, and full of character! The owner is a lovely lady, and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this B and B to anyone!. Very hospitable and really comfortable. It's in the old town so perfect for signseeing yet parking was also available for us. The place is more a guesthouse than a hotel.Since family room is quite big, the room and toilet was quite cold. The shower door did not close properly and the bathroom was flooded. But additional towel provided!.
