The Fischerwirt is a cosy family hotel in the pedestrian zone in the centre of Zell am See, a 2-minute walk from the lake and 5 minutes from the Schmittenhöhe cable car. Free Wi-Fi is available in the entire hotel. The lido on the beach can be used free of charge by hotel guests. In the morning a rich breakfast buffet is served. Half-board includes dinner with several courses and a salad buffet. In winter you can get your ski passes directly at the reception, and free ski depots at the valley station are also offered. In summer all prices include the Zell am See Card (between 15 May and 15 October), entitling to free rides on various cable cars and lifts, free access to museums, to swimming pools, to the National Park Centre and much more. This card is free for adults and children aged 10 years or older. For younger children charges are applicable. The train station is just a 5-minute walk away from the Fischerwirt hotel.

The staff are amazing there, they really go out of their way to help you - would definitely stay here again. Nice rooms, nice sauna, and the hotel is right in the middle of town near everything you need. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was right in thecentre of Zell am See and with its sister hotel the 'Romantik' had allthe facilities you could require. the location.

The hotel smells of smoke because people seem to smoke everywhere, however I think this is due to the fact that you can smoke anywhere in Austria and no specific to the hotel, and you really feel it as we are not used to it anymore.The lift is functionable for moving luggage but small for every day use but plent of stair access. Every think great. parking facilities poor and unreliable. it would have been nice to be able to dine there for all meals. the car cant get to the main entrance. Difficult to find, no car accesss to front entrance and lift and rear entrance not user friendly.yes,they do not provide or allowed you to make tea in the room. Air condetation is not available. I was very disappointed with the dinner menu and so eat out each evening. breakfast basic no thrills. no tea or coffee making in the rooms. no do not disturb card for door so twice woken up in the mornings buy staff walking into the room. no batteries in the tv remote control.Would only recommend hotel to budget holiday makers. the hotel is very very small and the rooms are very old. The main picture of the hotel gives you a feeling that the hotel isfacing the lack while in fact it is not. The elevator of the hotel wasreally old and scary.
