Great location (10 mn walk to Old City-20 mn to Dom). Friendly neighbourhood. Friendly hostel for people of all age groups, even though all employees at reception desk are young. Modern but basic decor. Breakfast ok and nicely priced at 5,90o euros, but never changes (after a few days, you get bored). Nice kitchen for hostel clients or backpackers. Good comfortable beds. Nice experience. One can leave one's luggage in a room where you can also have a safe.
all reviews » The hotel is pretty new, clean and furnished in a modern style. A great feature is the guest kitchen, which makes it possible to cook your own meals, or to store some food in the refrigerator. The staff was friendly, and spoke English very well. My room was quite large, nicely decorated and had a good Wi-Fi signal. The hotel is not in the very center of the city, but has good connections to public transport. At first I thought the hotel seemed to be in a bad area but it was actually fine. I think Schwedenplatz is the better underground station to use to get to it but overall it's only a 15 min walk from the old town city centre. Hotel was much nicer than expected for the price. Wifi was free and the breakfast was worth paying a few euro for. Staff were friendly and helpful and I would stay there again. Close to U-Bahn which will connect you to just about anywhere you want to go. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Cleanliness throughout the hotel is very good. I especially liked the kitchen where you can cook your own meals and it also has a laundry where you can wash and dry your clothing. These are 2 very good qualities that you can't find in many accommodations. Highly recommend!. We arrived earlier than the 3pm check-in time, exhausted from flying 10 hours, with two little kids in tow (3yrs and 10 mos). They let us check-in early with no trouble and we were able to rest. If you sit at work table, you can't move around. No hooks in bathroom and almost no surface to put one's things on. Breakfast never changes from one morning to another. The weather was very hot while I was there and the windows barely open to let in air - there's no air con so windows are the only option. There was quite a lot of noise on my corridor early in the mornings - which means the room walls are very thin. We booked one night at Sissi and our other 3 at Franz (we had a small side trip in between). I prefered the Sissi and wish we had booked it the other way around. But that's nobody's fault. Next time, we'll know more. We didn't find any thermostat setting controls in the room. This was a problem because we arrived at the hotel freezing as it was unusually cold because of the wind blowing through the canal and it took a while for the room to get warm. Very minor annoyance. *The light in room is very poor and inefficient (common incident in many Austria hotels ) *The shower and the wc are in different cabinets. * NOT bath ,only shower. WiFi signal was poor. The WiFi connection was terrible. I read other users' comments regarding the same. Hopefully the hotel will act on that. The noise due to construction work at the adjacent block of units early in the mornings. It was unacceptable on Saturday morning at 7.00am. Also the breakfast requires additions like cakes and perhaps more hot food. One had to ask for something as the food was not always available. One day there was no black bread, the other day there were no boiled eggs. Breakfast requires serious improvement!. If I really have to say something, we couldn't really open the windows to diffuse the warmth in the room. the breakfast is not included in the price. you need to pay to use the hotel's computers. Parking at €18 was quite a rip-off. Because the parking lot was still under construction, our car was actually sitting on rubble and had to mount a curb to get out. Room was tiny for 4 adults. You couldn't open both bathroom and toilet doors without them hitting each other. It was not that close to the subway station, though acceptable. And there is a walk to the university (my point of reference)... I guess that's why the prize is lower than others, which allows you to have a great room in a great city. Bathroom in our room was quite small and ventilation in the bathroom was a bit noisy. Also it would be nice to have slippers. But anyway it is not so important. Check-in at 3 pm is a bit late. The lighting in the room was rather dim. The ventilation in the room was rather poor too, makes the room stuffy. A bit more than I hoped to spend for one night, and a questionnaire that seemed unnecessary before we could check in, but other than that everything was fine. Unfortunately price of breakfast had risen 50 % after my booking. The room was spacious enough for all of us but it desperately lacked some furniture like a sofa a coffee table and a couple of more chairs. There was nothing to sit and relax on but the beds and one desk chair. The location wasn't that great, but otherwise I'd return and recommend it. On letsbookhotel.com, we were asked to request either a double bed or twin beds. We chose double bed, but upon arriving at the hotel we were told that double beds do not exist in their hotel, and we would have to settle for twin beds. This was not a problem in itself, but the small, one-person blankets we were given were a problem (and they had no larger ones). The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, giving me great back pain (and believe me, I'm not the kind of guy to have trouble sleeping). Nothing. Nothing except you can't find this hotel at every city!. I was closed to the middle doors in the hallway and when they close they're really noisy, they woke me up several times. I wouldn't say rooms are really soundproof. The parking is expensive - but no more than other parking in Vienna. Nothing, really, just the rainy day which the hotel has no control over. Having an electric tea pot/coffee pot might have been nice. There is not frigo in the room. price of breakfast was to high for what you served. I was very disappointed with it. compared to 6 other countries we visited during this trip the food was poor and very overpriced Eunice ditterline from Missouri USA. We stayed at your Vienna location. A discount rate on parking would be a benefit, and it was a bit of a hike to the city center. About 500m-1km, give or take. A small price to pay for an awesome hotel. I would definitely stay again. actually all things was okay with one disadvantge of hotel that there is no fridge in the room. 1. Cannot open windows - 'security'. I really do not like it and this can be the reason for not choosing this one. 2. Finding free parking place can be challenging. And: 3. unfortunately there are some construction works nearby these days - they start right after 6 am, no mercy. Check your room location;). No negative opinions. none. Only two small elevators. It is a new hotel, slightly away from the city centre & Taxi drivers initially struggled to know where the hotel was - 1 way metered taxi from Wien Centre to the hotel was €10. On our first day, we got to breakfast near the end of the opening time and they had run out of buns. That said, the following two mornings were great and they had everything. Convenience to Alstadt, but laser cost of room was reflective of this. Not a 10 minute stroll from Schottringer Station, as noted on website. There are a few restaurant near hotel and no food room service when you return hotel late. However, you can order delivery from Front desk. We stayed only 1 day and there was nothing to complain. Very small rooms especially for a family with 2 kids. Would have liked a microwave in the room.
