Sequentially: upon arrival we've beengiven a room on 8th floor with "a perfect Ring view" - it turned out amansard and we found smbd's luggage inside, so they changed to 2nd floorwithout anyview...; We camplained that all lamps in the room werecracking when cooling down - reception knew about that problem andsuggested to wait for half an hour before sleeping!!. not really , but the semi transparent door of the bathroom is kind of bothering. There should be one Le Meridien Vienna in every city in the world. 28 Euro for breakfast is quite expensive for a coffee. Tries too hard to be "cool" in the public areas. Showers leak all over the bathroom floor - uncomfortable and dangerous. housekeeping was knocking the door at 8am..Evry thing was good. price. Breakfast was over priced at 28 Euro. poor reception often crowded so we had to wait a lot for a single question. The fitness and pool closes on weekends already at 7 p.m. so you can not relax in the evening. lobby area. Fitness center during the weekend opens at 9am. Way to late. And staff was not prepaired to open it earlier. they lost our luggage for 3 hours on arrival!. no view, small room. The bathroom was in the room, no picture show this in your presentation,only a glass separated the bathroom from the room and there are couples which does not like this kind of rooms. breakfast is really expensive, not included. if you want to see a movie with pay tv, you've to pay 17 euros. cleaning under the bed. remember to put the indication at your door: "don't disturb" otherwise the cleaning service will come in your room, at 9 am!!!. As much as i agree having young staff,that goes along w/nouveaux look,i felt that the lack of experience was too obvious.They really tried hard,but it shows some uneasement of some of your staffers.I still prefer that young people are given the opportunity to grow along w/your company then those older ,more snob staffers that we find in some 5 star hotels.The frosted walls of the bathrooms are not ideal as the lights shine into the room if they're turned on in the middle of the night. Also, the lack of door on the shower caused the whole bathroom to get very wet. Many techical problems in the room: safe did not work, internet connection out of order, strange noices all night, could not use the shower as there is no door, so after use it becomes a lake!!! TV broke down the last day! So many problems during a 3 nights stay...luggage service, bad designation of way from elevator to the room and back. They said free wet bar and free internet...wet bar had only H2O and one beer, and the internet did not work in the room. Took 20 minutes for them to bring towel to room.Some of the receptionist(woman) is poor attitude. poor soundproof. I had 2 rooms and both of them the sinks and shower water didn't drain away. After informing the hotel, they sent someone to fix it, but this clearly showed the staff and management are re-active and not pro-active to customer needs. poor room service, poor quality of breakfast in room, very loud aircondition, some food on menu is not available, small bar. Only the frontdesk staff has idea about how to give service....Bell-boy entered our room without knocking the door (we've justreturned from sauna) and asked if we were moving to another room, wesaid "no", he disappeared; we asked King-size - they gave Queen (2x1,5)for two adults - can smbd imagin that? They should benchmark fromSofitel in Munich in same price niche - that's a classy hotel. I wouldonly recommend LeM to "Starwood Preferred guests" :-).
