From there you can get to the Westbahnhof (Western Train Station) and the Mariahilfer Straße, Vienna’s biggest shopping street, in only 5 minutes. The city centre is only 10 minutes away on the direct underground connection. You can reach Schönbrunn Palace in 10 minutes by tram. Hotel Fritz Matauschek has a traditional restaurant serving traditional Viennese and Austrian cuisine.

Great location, the metro station is right across the street from the hotel and you get to the city center in 10 minutes, the West Banhof train station is two metro stops away and you can take the bus to the airport from there; the room was basic but cosy, shared bathroom facilities always clean, the breakfast is quite good, the stuff was friendly. Simple rooms but very modern and clean bathroom facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is right outside a subway station with very frequent trains into the city center (~15 mins journey). Also a tram can take you directly to Schonbrunn palace.

But for the price is very convinient. the smell of the wardrobe poor condition of the walls and floor. 1) Internet only until 22:00 & only at the restaurant 2) Skimpiness at breakfast (τσιγκουνιά στο πρωινό). Breakfast: no buffet and a bit limited, although it was enough to kill hunger until lunch. There is this little strict Austrian touch to the place. WIFI only during daytime, in the restaurant area, unlogical opening times restaurant, discussions on the sign that they don't replace towels (the socalled ecofriendly touch), but it still looks they do every single day... Small things, but tends to have me not stay here again for a full week for business. Breakfast was very poor, under any critic. Wi-Fi was avaliable only from 7:00 - 23:00, so if you are chating late at night(as me, because hole day U spend in the sity) - no chance. As well as many times during the day was no internet as well.
