EVERYTHING! The place does not look amazing from the outside but my was it a delight upon entrance and seeing the garden. The room was so clean and the water features with the little gold fish was fantastic. The house maids were a delight and the reception staff so lovely.7/11 was literally right next door and the convenience of being so close to Ashfield and the city was just such a great bonus for us. It was just a very warm inviting and peaceful place to be for myself and partner and I would.
all reviews » my stay was enjoyable because the staff care, exceptionally clean/ comfortable rooms with tea/coffee facilities, safe in room, free parking, unlimited free wifi, free use of laundry room. a relaxed feel in communal areas. 5 mins walk to train station,10 mins to central sydney opera house, darling harbor, circular quay. honest and friendly staff. Liked the lounge area to read whilst husband watching football on foxtel in room. Although we did not use it, liked that there was a microwave available and larger cups/cutlery etc in the dining area as well as tables and chairs. The motel was so close to public transport, making travel into Darling Harbour so easy. Everything we needed was provided, there is a lovely Atrium in the centre of the motel for reading, relaxing or family meals. Clean and tastefully furnished. The rooms have obviously been refurbished which was a nice surprise, as the the exterior looked a bit run down. The central courtyard gives the feeling of a tropical paradise. "Central and handy drive" ie; "not too far away via vehical from RPA Hospital & Rugby league grounds" City sights & shopping "Friendly" aswell. I liked that you could bring your own food eg bread and frozen meals and be able to cook them in the facilities to save some money on food. Area a bit removed from busy, more peopled, part of town close to italian section quiet relaxed enviro lot's of hot water close to train. Location, proximity to public transport, short walk to Summer Hill cafes & restaurants, free parking, spacious rooms, free WiFi. It's so convient let located to Maccas and the train station. I am fairly small and still managed to splash outside the shower area. When my husband showered it was worse. There was no door on the shower so water splashed everywhere. The waste in the shower isn't big enough. We thought the bathroom would flood. No hand towel...or maybe that was the hand towel that we used for a floor mat to soak up all the water???. Having to be told on arrival that you had to pay an extra $200 holding charge and had already charged the total to credit card prior to arrival. Missed (expected) having the jacuzzi shown on the internet site. No shower screen door, bathroom floor gets very wet. We paid $170 a night and breakfast wasn't included. And the breakfast provided was cold and cost $12. Nothing. Would of liked cold water in the fridge each day. Also I think a microwave in each room would be good too. could do with some new pillows. As we don't know Sydney it would of nice to have a booklet in the room of food outlets in the area that deliver. traffic noise other guest smoking, and the smoke can get in the room. Exit in only one direction onto Parramatta. There was nothing i did not like. Toilet seat was too small for toilet :D. No dislikes. there was nothing to dislike. Window looking over atrium rather than outside giving natural light. Bedding I thought could be improved. Mattress too soft. The sheet, blanket, sheet system, was strange. Breakfast (which was supposedly included in the cost) was not available until 7.30am. This is far too late if you need to be on a train at 7.30am. I have a 50" tv at home so thought the room TV may have been a bit small. Not a real Issue. Upon arriving we were given our keys but not directed to where our rooms were or wished a nice stay - not at all rude but not overly helpful either. distance to take away food options. N/A. window into cenral foyer rather than to the outside. Taxi is expensive to and from the Airport. No door on shower. No shower screen the whole bathroom got wet while having a shower whitch made the toilet area and baisin area wet for the next person. Some minor maintenance needed with sink & toilet seat, which i believe was to be attended to.
