  I arrived really late at night, which was very scary in such a busy city, however when i got there the man on the desk made me feel so much at ease and was so welcoming! The location is also great walking distance to most things! - I like the atmosphere at the United Backpacker :) It feels like the fresh vibrant community of the young backpackers... what people say » .   1) the facilities are modern 2) very clean 3) individual bathroom on the 2nd floor was really good because I was able to prepare myself without being interrupted by other patrons 4) although the blanket was quite light it was surprisingly warm. This is great for an overnight in - The Staff was really friendly and they help me with everything I needed. The Hostel is well organised and clean. They have a lot of activities going on. But at the same time, they are able to keep the hostel calm, so you can choose or join the activities or resting in your room. It is a really good place to be.

  The staff was awesome. The reception staff, kitchen staff, cleaning staff, all so friendly. It was clean, and the hotel is near the station, and very close to the famous Chapel Street (Restaurants/Shopping) Very good value for money, and the room was comfortable. I do ... what people say » recommend it to students/backpakers/travellers/couples and anybody who is looking for a very 'good value for money' hotel, cheap, and (close to town). - It is not a luxury hotel and is at the lower end of the price scale, but it is excellent for what it was. The place was kept immaculately clean and the staff were assiduous and very helpful. They were extremely good in serving breakfast, which was another bonus, and the front desk team were very friendly and accommodating. I thought this hotel superb value. It is right beside South Yarra Metro station, which has very frequent service 6 minute to and from the central part of Melbourne.

  Good standard hostel is really good value and in a great location near (one block back parallel to esplanade) Apollo Bay and within easy reach of some of the best sights on the glorious Great Ocean Road, owner/manager very helpful and knowledgeable and told me road to use to see koalas sleeping in the trees - and they were right there, fab! - Onl... what people say » y stayed overnight while travelling and had never stayed in Backpackers before.   So close to Southern Cross Station for early morning departure on Overland train next day. Close to Convention Centre only a couple of stops away on the tram for attending a conference. I was still able to have free breakfast in the morning even though I was ready to check out before 7am when breakfast normally starts. We only needed a bed & place to leave our luggage, so it suited us well. Rooftop BBQ, smokers' area.   Liked the way when we walked in we were shown where everything was . We got free shots . The staff were really friendly and bubbly . Great atmosphere at night with excellent offers . - Loved the price. The entertainment in the bar at night. The choice of what type of room you wanted.

  Very Clean, Great shower, Heater, Comfortable, Staff organised a very inexpensive shuttle bus which was fantastic and relieved alot of pressure - It was a nice cosy room and for the price we paid we can't complain about anything
