Loved my villa by the creek. Waking up to the trees was lovely and sitting on the back deck watching the bush turkeys and lizzards run around. Plenty of space in the villa which is a big plus when staying for a week. all reviews » The units were very comfortable with good quality furniture and fittings. The outlook through the paperbarks was lovely. The location was so convenient with the beach a block away. Also within the block there were three restaurants (Pizza, Mix and Pasta), post office, Pharmacy, general store and a bottle shop. All with prices comparative to the big supermarkets. Brilliant walking trails. We also saw many whales from the many lookouts. It is a straight drive into the CBD. Great all round. About three families were there together with about 8- 10 kids all around the same age. Don't get me wrong- I love children and kids will be kids but to have 8 of them running around, on and under (yes, under!) my villa screaming was a bit of a zen buster! Saving grace was they were in bed by 8 pm But like I said kids will be kids and when there are so many it can get out of hand and this is not the fault of the hotel. The sliding wire doors did not have locks on them so you had no air circulation in the back bedroom. No access to the unit from the garage. The laundry in the back of the garage was difficult to access as there was little space to get around the car. But these are all small issues and did not impact our time at Flynns. That the music player in the loungeroom was cd rather than an iPod/MP3 dock. There wasn't an ironing board that I could find in the apartment. Nothing. the potato peeler!!!!!!!! If that's all to complain about then that's pretty good! Don't take this very seriously!. Not enough hot water for a family of 4. Only 2 steak knives and wi-fi very slow. For the amount of accommodation available the pool is not very big (average sized pool). None of these negatively affected our holiday just pointing it out. minor detail: garage was narrow and a little hard to enter/exit. Only an overnight stay so did not realise internet access required an online account to be set up prior to the stay. Nothing. it got our combined thumbs up!. Just a little too far for a leisurely stroll into town and back on an evening but taxis available at ease. Needs more cooking utensils, plates, cups, pots and pans. We had breakfast one morning (hot breakfast) and there was only one frypan for 6 people. Hot water also seemed to run out very quickly after 3 showers and there was 6 people staying there. I would have liked a bit easier access to the beach. The kitchen was only sparsely supplied with utensils - could have done with a sharp knife & better frypan. There is nothing not to like. Nothing of any significance. Lack of parking onsite. Room for one car only. Limited provision for additional cars, trailers, jetskis, boats etc . Bathrooms could have been a bit larger, however they were clean and tidy. Parking restrictions within the complex is not policed as I used the garage but many others didn'T. Some had two cars and both were in the driveway. Not enough milk or shampoo/conditioner provided. (Enough for one day only). Having to leave & go back home!!!!. Not enough bath soap. Not enough parking space though, we park the car on the side. Beds in twin rooms were very small and really only suitable for children. The lounge is starting to show signs of age - doesn't support properly after a few hours watching TV or reading. Only one tea towel . nothing. pool amenties needed cleaning. Nothing. There wasnt anything i didnt like. nothing. The lack of a handrail for the steps down to the lower bedroom and bathroom. ( a minor observation only ). Needed a bug spray. Ants and a few spiders and roaches present in villa. N/A. Nothing.
