All the staff were fantastic, from the concierge and receptionist to the bar and restaurant staff. They were friendly, approachable, helpful & enthusiastic. The resort was very clean and pretty with lovely gardens and ponds throughout. The pool was the perfect temperature. Plenty of sun loungers and day beds. Swim up pool bar was a bonus. The food in both of the restaurants and the room service was fantastic.
all reviews » Food at the café/bar was good and great value for money. We requested a room away from the noise and was given one by the management which was good. Good cooking facilities and utensils as we did eat in for breakfast which suited us otherwise we would have to eat out 3-meal a day. Front desk staff was helpful. The food & beverage and the common areas were amazing. your staff was very accommodating and knowledgable. Excellent hotel and facilities. Good pool area and restaurant, shuttle service to Port Douglas every 15 mins. Loved my room which was spotless. This was a spur-of-the-moment getaway and very happy with my choice. The rooms are a nice space, but the soft goods and amenities did not match the rest of the hotel. The chips with my meal which definitely rated as the worst chips of all time. Tasted like the oil was three weeks old, reheated then reheated again.. Fortunately the grilled barra was perfectly cooked.. The room was not up to the standard you would expect for a luxury resort. It smelt like it had been locked up for weeks. I liked it all!!!. Didnt stay long enough. Room smelled before they moved me to another room. very poor room service especially cleaning services. Posy, elitist.Everything had a price tag- a bit like being in a shop!. Location was over an hour from the airport and a ten minute bus ride from Port Douglas which is a very small town. A problem with mosquitoes. The food was terrible in both eating areas. The beds were shocking worse than hammocks. The staff in the breakfast buffet were fantastic but the rest had attitude. Too far from the beach. Cheap renovations. More a yuppy hotel than a family hotel. Won't be back.

How to get here
From Cairns International and Domestic Airport, drive north along the Captain Cook Highway. Take a right into Port Douglas Road then the resort is on your left. Rydges Sabaya Resort is approximately 50 minutes drive.
