My partner and I had a studio unit on the second floor. It was compact, clean and self contained. All appliances were in good order and worked. The bed was very comfortable with excellent bedding/pillows. The resort facilities were excellent and we enjoyed the pool, spa, gym and roof top bbq. We had a trouble free very enjoyable stay and will re-book when next on the Sunshine Coast. Our second visit to Landmark-this time for a family gathering and a two bed apartment. We booked and were given two adjacent apartments on the 7th floor Very well appointed and fantastic view, excellent location. Extremely comfortable bed too. Pleased that we were able to park two cars and also leave our cars at the resort on the morning of departure. We will be back.
all reviews » Beds were very comfortable, the rooms had all the necessities, the gym was good, so was the pool but the absolute best thing about this hotel is the location. Right opposite the beach and in the thick of the shops and cafes. We had a decent view of the ocean and the water. I liked the roof top spa. I would definitely come back to the Landmark. The facilities were great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The resort is located right across the road from the beach and shops are right on your doorstep. I would recommend this resort to all travellers to the Sunshine Coast. A fantastic rooftop spa and BBQ. The location was perfect, located right in the heart of the main shopping strip, a footstep off the Esplanade, and two from the beach. Facilities were all there, the room was comfortable and roomy, loved the spa bath! Lovely balcony added to space and comfort. The room was amazing! We had an ocean view with balcony! Close to beach, restaurants, surf club etc. Clean with all the necessities you could possibly need! We got breakfast included at a choice of 2 cafes on the Esplanade which were both delicious!. The appartment was really very nice for us two, we were greeted with wonderful staff and enjoyed the relaxation with all facilities available to us in the appartment - thank you so much we were able to have a relaxing stay. We were very happy with the studio room on the 3rd floor quiet location Lucas was a fine young man on reception and a pleasure to talk too .we will be returning soon many thanks for a lovely relaxing break Alan and Lynne. I really appreciated the proximity to the beach, the surf club, restaurants and shopping. You can spend a few days and not even need the car at all. Unit and common areas were all nicely decorated and clean. I like the fact that everything is close the cafes, the restaurant's, the beach across the road. I know we visited the Landmark Resort during off peak season best ever, not too many people about. Staff were very friendly on arrival, bed was a full queen not 2 beds pushed together like some places, room was small (one bed apartment) but very comfortable for 2 people, big bathroom, clean. Staff were very helpfull,friendly and attentive. Position close to shops, dining and beach was good. Very relaxed atmosphere and even in peak holiday time was not overly crowded. Will be back. Staff handled my complaint professionally and moved us into a quieter room I have left one blue sock behind in our room, could you please advise if the cleaner has found it , thank you. The location was great. The kitchenette in the room was very useful and larger than most other places. The resort felt very secure. The rooms were very private. Every extra item from beach towels to salt sachets!! to extended check out cost extra. When you pay nearly $200 per night, that is disappointing. Rooms were quite small and the second bedroom noisy (from people in the corridor waiting for the elevator) and dark. Having to use the room key to activate the elevator was annoying. There was nothing we didn't like. Only staying 3 nights!!!. Pool and Spa close at 9pm, we weren't happy about that as we're both Night Owls and weren't ready for bed! Theres a door/gate down stairs that kept slamming which did wake us up with a fright if we slept with the balcony door open. There was only two minor things that could be improved: 1. while having a spa I noticed from the inside you are looking at the bottom of the door frame of the spa, it was very grotty, sorry, not appealing. 2. we had to use a fork to take the plug out of the spa because the chain that should've been holding the plug was not there. The unit 224 that I stayed in was lovely and had a nice outdoor space, however it did not enjoy a nice view. The toilet is a little close to the shower entry point. Quite a high step up into the spa/shower. Nothing .... Not really much of an ocean view but got a great deal on the room so didn't mind!. More on line explanation on the type of rooms and the term "partial sea views. Bit disappointing to arrive and find our room was at the back with a good view of the Peninsular Resort. small amount of tea,coffee,soap liquid. The dryer did not work in our room. Nothing !. One of the lifts broke down and the stairs were not easy to access. I found the beds uncomfortable and it was difficult to control the temperature of the unit...too cold or too warm. The major complaint we have is it seemed that the balcony had not been cleaned prior our stay and the table was dirty!. Nothing. TV couldn't really be seen from the bedroom-design fault. Also some minor difficulty getting into and out of the shower/spa bath, maybe an accdent waiting to happen. Some restaurants closed Wednesday night!. A window or flyscreen security on the sliding door to balcony. Always opened the balcony door but didn't feel it was safe practice to leave it open all night. Some fresh ocean air in the room through the night would have been perfect. No table in the lounge area to work on your computer. The room was not clean. I had to scrub the bathroom as there was mould around the edges of the shower. Also cleaned teh fridge and crumbs everywhere. The light fitting looked as though it was going to fall : pain chipped Have been in Hotel Hospitality for over 38 years and understand maintenance can be an issue. having to pay for a top up off coffee sachets,should be complimentary,have never had to pay in any other place we have stayed. Nothing to complain about at all. But thought it was a bit scabby to charge for toilet Paper and toilettries.....thought room was starting to look a little tired..,. kitchen needs A small chopping board. We thought there should have been wireless internet available in all rooms. Everything was perfect. No instructions on how to start foxtel Bedroom very light- not good for a sleep in-just needs a curtain over the blind. There was not enough kitchen items, we only had 2 small saucepans, 1little frypan & not enough plates & cutlery. The living area is way too small, that would b a major reason I wouldn't stay there again & for the price u pay, not much sea view as well. The TV was positioned too high. It would be good to be able to access the spa pool later than 9pm. The unit we were in was quite noisy - could hear all the street noise, other people on their balconies, etc. The high step to get into the shower/spa, it is very difficult for older people to get into it!. fairly small living space. Having to use my room key to use the lift.
