The hotel is on the upper reaches of the CBD close to the Victoria Market and opposite to the Flagstaff Gardens. Ten minutes walking will get you into central Swanson Street. The friendly greeting from the receptionist when you enter the hotel sets the tone of the place. Registration is quick and easy and you get directed to your room. My room was facing the gardens and whilst not especially big had more than enough room for me. First impressions of the room were a well presented and spotlessl.

Everyone, from the people on the desk to the cleaning staff to the people in the restaurant at breakfast time were polite, helpful, friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome without being 'in your face'. The breakfasts were very impressive with a great choice of fresh, delicious food and coffee made to order. The fresh fruit platter was an unexpected, very appreciated highlight on arrival. The room was quiet and clean and very comfortable (great bed). We. Location and comfort. The bed / pillows was comfortable and our room quiet. Flagstaff gardens opposite are inviting as well for a walk. Reception staff were friendly. Breakfast was healthy fresh choices and we enjoyed the selection and variety too. This is our third stay and we come to Melbourne regularly and Radisson on Flagstaff is our choice for return visits. The welcome was first class and friendly. The room was a good size and clean and the bed was very comfortable. There were tea/coffee facilities and a mini bar. It is close to the Queen Victoria Markets and the outlook from the front rooms over the Gardens was verynice for a city location. Compared to other similar hotel choices in downtown Melbourne, the Radisson had the best value for the comfort and amenities. Best value for parking, free internet, excellent breakfast options, close to everything downtown. One more thing- easy access to public transport. The staff at all times were helpful and professional. I had everything I required for a pleasant comfortable three night stay. Happy hour on Friday evening with free nibbles was a nice touch. Close proximity to the city circle free tram was a definite bonus. The hotel was well located overlooking Flagstaff gardens. The trams and metro were close by. Our room was very comfortable and well fitted, and the service was very good. The restaurant dinners were very nice too on the two occasions that we tried them. The staff were amazingly friendly, the concierge got me a complimentary beer while i was waiting in the foyer for my husband to park the car as we had driven straight through from Adelaide, was extremely impressed with that. Reception was helpful in switching rooms so that we had a bath instead of shower. The room was large with comfortable seating. The car parking arrangement, using a nearby facility, worked fine. Everything was lovely and as expected when booked. We got a stock standard room which was spacious, clean and modern. Shower was lovely. Great location. concierge service excellent (booking of taxi, sorting parking, etc) breakfast buffet selection ++ room size and comfort as expected. Wonderful room and the shower was amazing. Flagstaff Station is closed on weekends, so if you're arriving by train then, you may have a bit of a hike or a transport swap. Made for a peaceful, relaxed stay though!!. the push button self help coffee machine at breakfast. Nothing. Can't really think of anything. We will stay there again when we return to Melbourne. The breakfasts were quite expensive so we only tried it once. The hot dishes were not hot. that pre-booked breakfast voucher wasn't reimbursed after we realized we had to leave before the breakfast lounge opened the changing facilities in the spa/ fitness area are too small, no lockers, not overly clean.. The weather, it was very cold ut I stillenjoyed it and got to wear my hat and gloves. nothing. Nothing. Staff knocking before check out for mini bar check when still in bed. Nothing to dislike. nothing to complain about. Nothing. some minor staff issues - drop in standard from previous visits. An average breakfast. City side rooms were noisy in the morning due to building works. nothing!. Although the rooms appeared very clean, closer inspection proved otherwise. Had to move rooms due to noise through an interleading door. There is a sign in the bathroom that asks you to leave your towels on the rack if you wish to use them again for environmental reasons, I did this, and they were still replaced. It was nice to have new towels, but if the hotel promotes this practice, then it should be adhered to. Cold Shower Sunday morning Tv didn't work But staff lovely.
