The Hotel is what is advertises to be, A budget hotel. it has all of the basics required to sleep in for the night. We were a family of 4 on a one night stop over. Family room was sufficient for our purpose (to sleep after 18 hour travel). Rooms were clean. Hot water & shower worked. Staff were good & helpful. Location right in the middle of town. Lots of places to eat, drink & shop. For the price, it was really good.
all reviews » Price was fantastic.Considering this is a budget hotel, I was shocked that towels were changed on a daily basis, have stayed same amount of time at more expensive hotels & not had towels changed at all during stays. Staff were very friendly & very helpful. Fantastic place for the budget conscience with a fantastic location. great location. friendly & helpful staff. reception & kitchenette open 24 hours. it is a step up from a youth hostel but cheaper when 2 share a room, plus you get a shower, toilet & tv in your room. no frills but good value for money. I would happily stay there again. loved the service (the concierge volunteered to change the rooms for us as i had stupidly booked the wrong date) and the rooms which were great for the price we paid! I read a couple of bad reviews like it being dirty with hair in the bathroom etc but nothing like that happened!. We've been to three other hotels/motel/flat, we rate Ibis Budget-melb/cbd the best of all. We always get our money's worth. Mostly all the staff are well trained and have been corteous so far. We shall always endeavour to stay there. Thank you for the hospitality...!. Central city 5mins from Flinders station and square. We walked to MCG and Rod Laver Arena. Plenty of shopping and attractions and within easy reach of the whole city and suburbs via transport. I highly recommend this this cheap option in an expensive city. Location was great ,the hotel was clean with good staff assistance and attitude of staff was friendly and very competent. Seemed secure and fairly quiet. Appreciated being able to get a cup of tea or to use the fridge in the 1st level kitchen. 79$ for 3 people in prime location of CBD Melbourne. Better price then hostels I saw. Basically close to everything. Just plain bed, shower, toilet, towels, nothing special but clean and tidy. Considering the price and location, no complaints. Hotel was exactly as depicted on website. Budget but fantastic location, clean and bed very comfortable. If you just want an overnight stay it's perfect. Skybus hotel transfer surface drops off and picks up outside the hotel. Very central, within walking distance to everything so was very convenient. It's more like a backpackers with your own shower and toilet. Staff were very helpful and for the price it was great. King Kong at the Regent Theatre. The location to the city hilights was excellent. As a mature couple, we felt secure and the transport within walking distance was an added bonus. All the staff were very helpful. The room was better than I expected. The location was excellent. I liked the location of the hotel. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was value for money. Bed was harder than I'm used to and because they were bunks they squeaked when someone rolled over. There should be more of this type of accommodation. The Airport location was fully booked for the night we needed. The only complaint was the tv was not working correctly - it would shut down and restart all by itself - still we were so tired after a day site- seeing, that once it turned itself off too many times - it was time to sleep on the comfortable bed :-). Rooms were on the small side. Scuff marks on the wall. Sound contamination from hallway/other rooms was a problem. The hotel seemed under-staffed but the staff that were available were very friendly and helpful. Can be a bit noisy at times, but again given price and location it is worth the trade-off. One night there was a noisy "sex party" or similar in the room next to mine. I did'nt like that. Also the wall at the end of the bed area was scuffed and looked a bit dirty in places. But overall I liked the hotel. The sink was clogged up and not working properly. The shower cubicle was small, but nothing major - we just laughed about it :). The walls were a bit thin but not too bad. No closet to hang clothes. The bunk bed was noisy, squeaking , everytime my kids turn, gave us sleepless night the first night ( we moved the matresses on the floor) but aside from that, it's excellent. No bath mat. Looks old and could do with a revamp. Couldn't really fault much at all. nothing!. Told staff member on reception about leaking toilet in our room but nothing done about it.Girl at reception even argued with us about it.Said we just had to push 2nd button.We told her we had already tried that with no success.The noise kept us awake all night.(We were in room 205) on nights 1-2 October. Graffiti in bathroom and on wall of room 221. Small room for 3 beds, a bit cramped. The only thing separating room from the bathroom is a curtain. No fridge in the room. Shampoo would be handy. Tea, coffee, kettle would also be expected today . If that is not in the budget, it should be mentioned when booking. However...thumbs up!. I'd prefer if the bathroom/toilet area was one room. tiny rooms, barely adequate for 2, can't imagine 3 in our room though we had a Qn + overhead bed. No kettle and hair dryer in the room. Staff at the reception should be more precise with information given. One staff had given the wrong information and a good thing that there was another staff who knew how to explain well. No more soap :(. Shower facility - just separated from bed by a curtain. The opaque window, the air conditioning unit blowing straight at the bed, no overhead reading light, the feeling of claustrophobia because of the bunk arrangement over the bed. No window. Half hour of wireless cost 5aud. No tea & coffee making facilities in room, not even a glass for a drink of water. The shower/toilet combo arrangement. Very difficult to use the shower and not the most practical engineering feat. I would have liked to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Other than that, no complaints. You get what you pay for. There were no towel rails, no bath mat and the shower didn't have a ledge for toiletries or even a soap dish. There were no glasses or even a plastic cup to get a drink of water. The heater is not that user-friendly.
