The room and location was lovely. We received a free upgrade to a one bedroom apartment with kitchenette which was very helpful. Staff were wonderful, friendly and accommodating. the fact that you upgraded the room because we were staying longer this was really great for my disabled son as we had cooking facilities the room was 1st class. Simple accomodation but rooms ample enough in size for a family of four. Great location in St Kilda. Would highly recommend to young travellers.

Great location within walking distance to Luna park and the pier. Already planning my next stay. The location was fantastic. They held my bags until my flight. Bed was very comfortable. As I was on my own it was fine I would not like to take my wife there.Plenty of places to get a meal are close by and the tram stop is just outside. Location. Nothing. The heater in the room was very noisy and not enough blankets were provided. When I called to ask for new blankets a heater was provided for the kids room which was fantastic. Also, further instructions for finding the address should be included on the map given. It was hard to find the carpark entrance and we were given no street number. This was frustrating when driving around on day 1. nothing. The area is quite lively so may not suit families with very young children. It was a bit run down and I could't get a car park at the motel. Also noise travels through the floors and the people above me checked out very early. No elevator between floors. Walls a bit thin. Hard beds. No 'Do Not Disturb' sign for the cleaners...they woke me during naps for the rubbish bin. being woken up by truck at 5 am. Absolutely NO negatives - have stayed here 3 times & will stay here again when I'm in Melbourne. Nothing to complain about. Hot water service issues. Water did'nt remain hot for more than 10 mins. hot water must be on a timer extremely noisy due to the traffic, restaurants,and bars still open to early hours of the night. noise outside on street was loud. No lifts, all stairs, outside noise. Could be noisy ,but ok. Noise from street but it was a celebratory weekend for the locals. Our bed. no clean towells. Small room. You get the wrong impression from the photos on the Internet. The bunk bed that my children slept on in room 210 seemed unsafe. The tv only had 5 channels. Toilet blocked first night ... Tgey didnt fix it straight away. only dial up internet. The staff never looked up from their desk to smile or say a simple hello when you entered the reception, the reception was always fairly dirty with leaves etc which puts you off when you first enter the motel. Very noisy. I felt a bit unsafe with de room, looking back the parking and de fragile windows. We were suppose to get a double bed room but got a double bunk bed and a single bed. My husband is 6'4. He hit his head twice and ended up sleeping on the single bed., We also had to keep our shoes on as the floor was very sandy and gritty. The room was supposed to be a Twin room but had a bunk bed bit like a back packers room. I checked out at 10 am leaving bags in storage while going for a walk. At 11 am on my return to collect my luggage I was refused use of a toilet on the grounds that none existed. This has never happened to me before. I did not appreciate this at all. think its a pricey backpackers, a few strange people about the area and didnt feel safe walking about. No Facilities, like at least microwave oven inside the room. Room service was below par. Didnt even put clean sheets or clean the cups. Noise. Unfortunately the outside noise of party goers did not settle down until about 4:30am! Defeating the point of staying down to get sleep before a funrun, rather than get up at 4:30 to arrange travelling down! Also could not get TV to work. The area around the front desk was not cleaned all weekend, the floor was a mess and gave a bad first impression. So many drug addicts hang around the street outside it is not a place for young children. Reception staff rude on check in told that I had no booking when shown proof of same was told my name was miss spelled on the computer but no apology made for the rudeness. No elevators. All luggage must be dragged by passenger upstairs. No sound insulation between rooms. The motel was substandard in relation to the photos shown on the website. The floors were timber with gaps in them and creaked when you walked on them. Had to carry bags up 4 flights of stairs and go outside along a balcony to get to room. There was a notice advising that $25 would be charged if dishes were not not washed on departing, their were 2 cups & saucers and no towels to dry. Lacking comfort and very noisy - trams rattling past late and early. Room, facilities, comfort, bedding, noise, excessive light, ease of access. used the same towels for the whole stay. only thing they cleaned was the bed. I wouldnt go again. Shuttle bus and confusion with people being dropped off at the wrong place and having a long walk to get to reception. Even the locals could not work it out, very difficult, confusing and a good way to lose customers. Lamp didn't work. Hair dryer didn't work. No hot water. Out dated, didn't have the basics like hand towels and face cloths... The pictures of the motel rooms are not what they look like at all. The hot water system was not big enough for a family to have showers so one night we had cold showers. You are not given fresh cups or mugs so you are expected to use dirty ones or wash them out in the bathroom. The air conditioning remote did not work. It is not a place to stay when on holidays and you want to relax, it is just a room to sleep in and that's it. The room. The people. The place. Very noisy from teams and street, windows and walls are paper thin!.
