Central, convenient location. walking distance from major venues and eating/drinking districts. Very friendly, accommodating staff. We were only there for one night so that we could run the marathon early the next morning. Though we had already checked out earlier in the morning, they allowed us to use their gym facilities to shower and change after the run. What a difference that made to the rest of our time in Melbourne!.

You can sense the sincerity and he took the extra mile to ensure i know my way around the city before i step out of the hotel~! Thumbs up~! The enviornment was comfortable and very accessible to major attractions in the city~!. Receptionists were fantastic.. nothing was a problem and great service.. great location for the free city tram and also walking distance to everything else like the lane ways..shops..aquarium..skydeck...southbank...casino etc.. and being opposite flinders street station was easy if visiting any other areas. Could no say enough about the reception staff... they really make this hotel!!!. The location was excellent - right in the centre of Melbourne's cbd and right next to the railway station. The staff were very efficient, storing our luggage for us when we arrived early and booking a shuttle bus for us when we left. We arrived the day after the Aussie Grand Prix so the hotel was mega-busy, but they coped with everything. Well done to all the staff!!. The staff were more than helpful, they were keen to assist at all times and were very welcoming, nothing seemed too much trouble and it was aparent they all work as a team! The Breakfast was really good plenty of choice for everyone, we went away each morning feeling very full and satisfied. The Hotel was in a great location for shops, transport and restaurants. The location was excellent - very accessible by tram and walking. We stayed on the 11th floor (I mention this as I have read some negative reviews about the lower floors). Our room, however, was spacious, clean and quiet. The bed was massive and very comfy. Staff were polite and helpful. The position was excellent - right in the heart of the city with trams and station on the doorstep and close to Federation Square. Being able to walk to the MCG was great as we were there for the AFL Grand Final. The bed was one of the most comfortable ones we have slept on. I loved the location but also as I am from Perth I was impressed with how reasonable for room service prices were! The prices were the same as if I had eaten breakfast at a cafe back in Perth so decided to eat in rather than 'find food' as it was far more convenient for me. Close to Swanston St trams- you can go almost anywhere from there. Also close to Federation Square and if you use the laneways very close to the shopping hub of the CBD. Not having free wifi in the room, but it would not stop us from booking this hotel again. I had some trouble working our how to use the bath/shower - wasn't sure how to switch the water from the shower to the bath....insolent over half an hour trying anything and everything but finally worked it out. Not all rooms have a street view. Mine looked onto the side of the neighbouring building. Views are not really important to me, however - I just look for a clean and comfortable place in which to spend the night. Room service food was unappealing and I left most of it. -no free wifi. Nothing really. Only there for one night and it was just in and out. Could not find an extra blanket in the room when looking for one but that is all. Charges for internet - it's an expensive commodity at this place and could use a rethink for business travellers especially. The noise of the power tools from the building site next door- this is only temporary and the hotel staff were very apologetic even though it was not their fault. Some minor issues around check in- eg wrong room allocated ( booking to hotel didn't match the confirmation I had) . All sorted with ease and polite effeciency. I would have liked a comfortable lounge type chair for watching TV. As an older person it was difficult to get into the shower over the bath, however the were appropriate railings to assist and a non slip mat was provided. - For the amount of money I've paid, I would say that I love everything about the hotel. Nothing. Price was a bit exy. Coffee in Cafee could be hotter. 1st time to the hotel thought that features of the hotel could have been explained e.g. the services the hotel had to offer e.g. there was no reference material in our room regarding phone numbers to contact - was not asked if I needed a map of city or was there any particular things I wanted to see while in Melbourne. Some of the wall power sockets were faulty, so we had a little difficulty charging our phones. Other than that, its a nice cozy little hotel room value-for-money. The view was a brick wall,but as we were out most of the timeit was ok.The front desk staff,sorry but I found them unfriendly. Water pressure in shower very low Only one bedside table lamp. I loved everything about it!. Whilst we did not book a room with a view, one with a window might have been nice - yes it had no natural light! In room internet was costly, but there was free WiFi available in the lobby. The lack of WiFi as it was only available in the lobby area and was also very slow. Room was slightly smaller than expected. Flinders street is very busy at night and can be a bit noisy. Paying $179.00 for room with the only view the brick wall next door. Mini bar prices and room service food prices ridiculous. - although free of charge, wifi Internet access was not available in the guestrooms; only in the lobby area. Nothing. All good. There wasn't anything to dislike. That the booking had been mucked up - apparently by book-it. The price was a bit too expensive, but was still affordable. Nothing. the view from the room. ugly building next door. no view. It's showing its age but it was clean and comfortable. I am not certain if someone could have helped me get my baggage to the station as the cab driver was far from helpful, arguing with me & ripping me off in a trip all around the city only to find out we could have walked from the station!. there's no wifi in the room, only in the lobby. The room I stayed has no window. The bathtub was not paid attention because hair was still there after I came back in the afternoon.
