The internet photos were a true representation of a lovely, modern, clean, stylish motel. The water features around the property were a lovely touch. The pillow-top mattress was awesome, as were the pillows... I've never slept on such a comfortable bed. I liked the rooms being smoke-free but that there were nice areas for smokers outside. Friendly staff, comfortable facilities and good location. We were on a two day visit and unfortunately did not have a chance to use the restaurant, however, room service breakfast was excellent, and huge!.
all reviews » The restaurant provided the best meal I have ever had in Victoria. Despite being on the main street, it was very quiet. It was very central and in easy walking distance to all attractions. I liked that this was totally clean neat & very high standard of comfort with elegant decor. Plenty of parking & close to all central things I wanted, beach, shops. Location was excellent and within walking distance of all attractions. 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and well designed. Our room was possibly the best hotel room that we have stayed in for a very long time. Large, comfortable and well appointed. An absolute gem. Was attending a wedding that was held at the hotel also. Excellent and friendly staff. Would stay again if visiting lakes entrance. The BBQ area with a pool was perfect, families could spend good times there by cooking and having their children around. Nice view from 3rd floor overlooking lake and all the necessities of home. Great location close to everything. Foxtel in comfy bed. No roadside noise. Free/easy access to laundry facilities. Wireless internet didn't work for the first 2 days. No lift to to the first floor room. The room was a little old but clean. The upper floor has good views but carring the bagges to the third floor is hard. Apartment in need of a good paint and some maintenance. Iinternet Wi Fi only worked for half of our stay (4 out of 8 days). Wifi didn't always work. Plastic toilet seats in a 4star? Very basic for the price. Small showerhead. Well we wish that spa and kitchen could all be in one room. Shower was a bit average to get temperature right. My kids found a fishhook at the living room carpet. Luckily she showed it to me, otherwise my 1.5 years old son would have hurt himself. The room should be vacuumed to remove any dust or dirt from the carpet for next guests. Nothing. Showers. Taps were incorrectly installed in room 26. Not a good shower. Room could have been a little more comfortable. Couldn't really use the sofa as tucked away in a corner so it was either sit on the bed or on the bench chairs. The view....as we paid for the spa room...I was hoping there was a good view :( as we were down stairs... also my husband tried to make a coffee in the morning and the coffee machine did not work. Overpriced (had stayed night before in Hyatt Canberra for same price but much better accommodation/facilities). Food good but again overpriced and there were issues with staff illness so wait for food too long. Bathroom, toilet and kitchen area floors were not clean. It's looking tired and the bed wasn't great ... Needs a clean and face lift. The room was well appointed however, cleanliness was well below expected standard. Dirty valance on the bed, windows and carpets required attention. Tiles in spa area were greasy -we cleaned prior to use. Will try other accommodation in Lakes before we stay again.
