Reception prompt and because room not ready we were given a card so that we could use the car park. Room very clean and nicely furnished ,beautiful fluffy towels changed daily. The restaurant staff very friendly and chatty. Hotel so close everything (shops etc). we would certainly stay there again. My Mother was in the Hobart Private Hospital overnight. The closeness of the Hotel was in easy walking distance. My bed was very comfortable and the room suited me. Thankyou. ps I had to borrow a wine glass too.
all reviews » We were really surprised with the suite with spa. It was great. And the coffee machine and supplies were the best I have seen in a city hotel of this grading. It was very convenient to everything we needed. Comfortable and clean bed, kettle, fridge, tv, room service, window that opens, room service, safe and secure, close to aquatic centre (I was there for a water polo competition) and city attractions. We loved the location. The staff was friendly. It was clean. The bed was comfy. The hot water in the bathroom was instant, so nice. All in all a nice hotel, nothing fancy. The refurbished room had contemporary decor, was clean, neat and comfortable. Onsite parking in the city was appreciated. Staff were efficient and friendly. Being able to park my car before check in and after check out. Walk to all I needed to do, staff were obliging have stayed before will stay again. Terrible website - in desperate need of modernising!. The room was small. Hotel looked like it could use a facelift. For the price breakfast should have been included. Behind the reception area looks tatty, with worn carpet and cluttered layout. Noisy at night, given location its understandable. hotel looks a bit tired. nothing. Not a comment here!. No car parks available had to double park and leave keys with staff. Very small rooms that weren't sound proof. Poor picture quality of in house movies. as this was our second stay at hotel and had recommended it to friends as well unfortunately the price was twice the price paid last year. Pillows awful (too Hard). room was a bit small a soft drink machine somewhere would be usefull. Another couple who stayed with us had a standard room and they were missing furniture. Broken A/C although staff responded well; Reception desk looked a little shabby and dusty; Ease of access to floors from licenced area seen as a security issue. Room we had, a bit cramped for space. We would not recommend the restaurant for its food. Friendly staff. Not close to harbuor area. the television was awful screen needed to be adjusted. The decor was a little 'tired' & we were unable to adjust the air conditioning to a suitable temperature. We were surprised to find that the toilet did not have a dual flush mode and that the milk in the fridge had curdled. My room was not made up even though I have put the sign for them to be made up. My complaint went unanswered. Beds were very hard and extremely uncomfortable. Some noise from air conditioning units located at the front, below our room. Shower cubicle very small and the room needs updating. Age of the venue. e.g: Bathroom, Carpets woodwork. The A/C heating didn't work and they couldn't fix it. it took two phone calls to reception to get a portable heater brought to our room. I thought the hotel itself and some things the room contained were a bit outdated. No complaints. The motel needs to improve the restaurant although it is clean and tidy it is a little drab. do it up a little and make it more welcoming sell your products and your service . the outside fusard outside the restaurant needs repair . they need to find a designer with common sense and use a product that will not weather . - windows don't close = draft - hotel needs repairs. dont get a room on the floor where the laundry is....very noisy early morning. Rather overpriced for what guests received ....same price basically as the Quality Hotel at the airport which was new. Adequate is the word that comes to mind. the bed must have been new because it was too hard. leaking bath tap. The bed is far too soft, the blanket is too worn out and the bed sheets are already pale grey instead of original white. Ventilation in bathroom not working. 3 times we were locked out of our room as the electronic lock wasn't working and resetting. The room was small, the bathroom needs updating as it looked like it was from the 70's, the lifts almost didn't move and we thought the cost of a night's accomodation was too expensive for the quality of the hotel and room.
