The Island Beach Resort was very handy to shops, restaurants and the beach. We found the one bedroom apartment clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our week on the Gold Coast. My wife and I stayed for 6 night and have nothing but praise, for the Island Beach Resort.. Everything was clean and tidy, and if you went to reception with a query, there was always a happy smile to help Thank You for a great stay.
all reviews » Close proximity to Pacific Fair Shopping Mall; regular bus service from the Mall to everywhere; stones throw to the beach, 5 minute walk to the Casino, washing machine and dryer was very handy. The location was perfect- walking distance to beach, shops, public transport. The facilities were clean, comfortable & the grounds maintained to a high standard. the pool, the bed, the location, the welcome and thoughtfulness in putting me in a ground floor unit since I had an injury, the peaceful other guests. the room was nice and clean and the staff were friendly.the resort was also conveniently located near shops,restaurants and beaches. The location was great, could walk to pacific fair and walk to the beach. It was fantastic value for money. The location to beach and local shops and restaurants was very handy and it was a very quiet location. Very central to everything nice location to the beach, eating out and shopping will visit again. Greg the manager was friendly and helpful. 2. The location is fantastic for the beach 5mins walk and Broadbeach centre 10 mins walk. 3. Ease of shopping locally. Having to leave!. Bathroom too small for big guys. The kitchen utensils were minimal- just four plates, four knives no vegetable peeler no coffee plunger. I bought the extras & left them there. quite a noisy road, so lying by the pool was not that peaceful, hotel over the back fence had children screaming in their pool late at night and very early in the morning!. The beds weren't that comfortable, but they never are!. We requested single beds but only got a queen which was a little inconvenient. Kitchen not well stocked with utensils. washing machine broke down in friends apartment. Had to share. Noisy plumbing. people upstairs flushed their toilet at late hours - i.e. 11.30 p.m., and much later. Maybe some info should be put on webpage that there is just start up supply of coffee,tea,shampoo and soap, so people could prepare better when coming. Otherwise all good. first thoughts are you get what you pay for. bed and pillows were attrocious, most uncomfortable bed and pillows i have ever had - pool was not heated, contrary to the website and neon sign at front of complex. no aircon in the bedroom - website should specify. start up tea and coffee provided but no milk - cld have provided a couple of long life milks that you wld normally find in other accommodation. 1. No lift. 2. Facilities are well worn, some items need replacing. Washing machine was a problem, cooking utensils of poor quality. 3. Overpriced supposed to be 3.5 star rating, not even close more like 2.5 -3.
