Clean, comfortable room, nice big comfortable bed, friendly, helpful staff. Not too far from city centre but having a car is useful as bus service infrequent. Air- conditioner worked well to keep the room cool. Nice and quiet at night so no sleep interruptions. Had a great view of the inlet,the staff were very friendly.It was close to the city,but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet.Room was well serviced,(thanks to the cleaning staff).
all reviews » We were upgraded to an apartment, which was wonderful. It was clean, spacious and well equipped, plus close to cafes and restaurants. Receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Good room, good staff, good position... Bathrooms could use a make over. But overall a pleasant stay. Perfect position looking over cullin bay marina. The staff were very friendly and accommodating when we needed to make changes to our travel arrangements. The facilities were excellent. loved the relaxed atmosphere, the views and the sunshine. it was expensive for us (2 elderly pensioners) but luxurious. Good position - a very comfortable stay, close to the lovely Marina & Restaurants. Enjoyed the pool also. Staff - reception and cleaning were excellent and most helpful. Great marina views. Comfortable. Rooms were a great size for a family, very well equipt, clean. Location of resort was great. Location access to City and suburbs and fabulous views over marina and surrounding area. I didn't appreciate the extra charge to my credit card after I already check out for " additional" room cleaning. lack of a restaurant or coffee shop no shop close by no medical assistance at night lack of concern when husband ill during the late evening, day staff did not follow this up the next day. Nothing. The ensuite was too small. TV too small and no microwave. Expensive wi-fi. No free wireless but I am nit-picking here. It was quite a trek into the centre and the buses didn't run that frequently. Quite pricey but then australia is from a Brits point of view at the moment!. Would have liked to have had laundry facilities, but there was an excellent one down the street. A smoke alarm in one of the rooms went on for hours before it was turned off. For a resort, and we stop at resorts regularly it was 3+ star tops. Pool and Pool area need a fair bit of updating as do 2 bed apartments, shower bath area tiny.We had a great time and hope you find this constructive criticism. No Comment, no issue. Toilet buttons hard to use, water on bathroom floor after shower very slippery. Desk staff slow and rude had poor understanding of the holtel. The noise, could clearly hear the people in the room next door. Not private. Disappointed we did not get sea view as advertised. Pillows. the lack of knowledge from staff as to which restaurants where open over the Easter break and the times of those that were open in the Cullen Bay Marina area. Nothing s all. Nothing. the bed and pillows. The toilet attached to master bedroom is too cramp and doesn't have hooks to hang clothes. The flask for boiling water is rusty. No WiFi access, toilet to close to wall in bathroom. A screen shower rather than curtain may have been better. For 5 nights/days at $180 per night:- The uncomfortable and below-average quality of the lounge furniture in the one-bedroom apartment #407 Marina View. "Squeezy" bathroom. Poor lighting in lounge. No daily auto replacement of tea/coffee and sugar satchels unless requested. Noise- poor sound proofing between rooms. Made complaints of noise at 4:00am and midnight. Cleanliness- basic. A little dated, bit expensive. Furniture. they could provide better window coverings,the room was like daylight cheap tacky curtains. old & tired rooms noisy hear above/side units air in main bed inoperable expensive for condition compared to other Darwin accommodation probably suits holidaymakers. Furnishings. No restaurant and no microwave Should have one or the other. Needs some TLC too basic for my liking. Quit isolate and no facilities nearby when it is so hot.
