We arrived by plane and airport transfer so holidayed without a car and found the location of this hotel ideal. 2 minute walk from the main shopping strip and 5 minutes to the beach. We found the room very clean, spacious and loved the private balcony overlooking the pool, garden and tennis courts. The cleaning staff were excellent and very accommodating. We stayed for 4 nights but could have happily and comfortably stayed for many more.

The swimming pool area was beautifully landscaped. Most importantly the owner and his wife were extremely helpful and put themselves out to make sure that our stay was an extremely enjoyable one. My mother and I stayed here on a girls mini-break and it was fab. It was clean, well located and very comfortable. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The pool area was lovely and clean. It's not a luxury resort, but it is very nice and well looked after. Nothing negative to say. The lady on reception for the Splendour in the Grass weekend was so nice! We arrived at 9 am wanting to check in early and she moved some things around and let us check in at 11:30. Great position, great room - we would definitely stay here next time we're in Byron. Convenient location, friendly staff, good facilities, the lady that did our house keeping was wonderful and so friendly. Room service each day was great for our 4 night stay. It was great to be able to leave the door open but this meant some noise from revellers on their way home. Only other issue was the smokers in the surrounding rooms smoking on the balcony. Room size was small for a 3 night stay. I had no complaints. Nothing. I was happy with absolutely everything. Spa was cold. Room service not good, went out each am and came back at between 12 & 1 both days to the rooms not being made up, so first day did not get any service or clean towels tea/coffee. Second day we saw the maid outside the room at 1pm and when we returned so we asked her to make up the room as we wanted clean towels. Safe did not work - was locked. Not been advised the spa wasn't hot, either of them. Well, this time it was raining and it spoilt the surfing with dirty water etc, which of course wasnt fault of the Byron Bay so we did far too much drinking.... Early morning people making lots of noise outside my room - not a major problem. The car parks are very small and not easy to get a small car into one let alone a 4WD and there should be a concrete block at the end to stop you banging into the concrete wall!!. Had an issue but was promptly resolved by manager. Beds very hard, dishwasher not clean. byron bay generally but not the resort - they were wonderful. Possibly some new couches and an extra couch in the 2bd unit. Would love to have coffee cups instead of teacups :). The only downside there is no lift! Therefore you have to lug your bags up to the first and second floors. Lack of kitchen facilities, not a problem for over night but for longer stay would have been. Rooms face main street very noisy. getting somewhat tired especially bathroom but overall value for money. Our room was very close to a busy main road. We have a 3 month old baby. That smokers were only a couple of rooms up and smoke came in our room. I normally sleep through anything and it was so loud every morning and evening from the cleaners singing and dancing every morning outside the room to people coming home and deciding to have conversations at our door. My partner was badly bitten by bed-bugs and still suffering a week later. Street noise was a minor issue. Rooms were a little small and need a little updating.
