Excellent location, within walking distance to Brisbane CBD AND BRISBANE SOUTHBANK AREA.. reasonable price and the facilities are very comfortable and within our expectation. Will definitely return to the hotel again in the future. The staffs are also friendly and helpful .. The Air Condition works so wonderful.. as 2 days of our stays in Brisbane, the weather was very hot 37c .. the air condition just wonderful in those scorching hot days.. I would personally recommend this hotel/apartmen.
all reviews » This Hotel is one of the best locations for visitor's to Brisbane just across bridge from city buses across the road train to airport just down the road good sized apartments so close to art's centre and South Bank. Close to footy grounds the Barricks movie/shopping precinct. Comfortable and excellant Restaurant actually one of the best I have eaten at in Brisbane, great breaky, coffee shop and pool area. I would defiantely go back. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They called the rental car company and after waiting over an hour for our pick-up they called them back and help resolve this issue. They made recommendations on places to visit in Brisbane. The breakfast was very good. The room was clean and comfortable. The night staff helped us find a place to order a pizza after we returned from a busy day of sightseeing. Price was amazing ...worked out about $170 a night for bedroom and balcony, full buffet breakfast for 2, and undercover parking. 5-10 minute walk to city, nice clean pool. Whereas most staff were polite but not friendly, I would recommend this hotel based on the manager alone - Brian, who went above and beyond to help make my stay pleasant and comfortable. Very conveniently located right next to galleries and museums, short walk from Brisbane CBD, South Bank Parkland and other attractions and with a good connection to the airport and train network. Relatively spacious, comfortable, quiet and clean rooms with all the expected facilities for this hotel class. Outdoor pool is nice, although very small. It is located a short walk from Southbank so convenient for nightlife and entertainment. Convention Centre close by so worked well for a business trip. Apartment was spacious with everything needed to be independent. Supermarket also a short walk away. Mattress and pillows were excellent. I would recommend this hotel and definitely stay again. The friendly staff who were always willing to help you at all times and they provided a good service. The accommodation was so relaxing, everything you needed was provided in your rooms which were spotlless, bright and airy that you did not feel closed in. Location - you could not have been more central - so close to the City etc. Riverside would be very hard to beat for value. Clean and comfortable, probably the most comfortable bed I have slept in. Location perfect for city and Southbank. Free parking a real bonus. Cafe down at GOMA (Gallery of Modern Art) 100mtrs- on river great for b/fast and has free wifi. How I could sit on my balcony and watch the city but shut the door and sleep soundly in silence.The convenience to Southbank and knowing my car is safe in the underground carpark. I have all the transport links close by but walking around the area or over to the city is easily done. The staff were extremely helpful, approachable/friendly and efficient. The beds? Wow! Like sleeping on a cloud. The meals in the restaurant were faultless. Very happy we were allowed to smoke out on the balcony with the door closed... That was great! An almost perfect stay!. Up to date TV and Foxtel. Breakfast buffet good value. This is my preferred hotel when working at the Brisbane Conference & Exhibition Centre. Ideally situated for the Cultural Precinct on Southbank we were there to enjoy and very close (just across the river) to good shopping if required. These appartments are spotless and very easy to live in for a city stay with easy car parking facilities. We were only there for one night after flying from Napier to Brisbane,on way to the Tamborine mountains, so all we really needed was a comfortable bed for the night, which it was, It was a bonus to be able to get our washing done and dried in our unit. This was the second time we had stayed at the Hotel and once again we were very satisfied with everything from the time of our arrival to departure time. The Location is ideal for QPAC and also the City. Would not hesitate to recommend it to others. the location was great. We liked the bedroom and lounge were seperate, the facilities were clean and cleaned each day, there were facilities to reheat a meal and within walking distance to the convention center for the truck show and easy walk into the city. Close to south bank theatre library and parks and easy access via foot bridge to city centre (10 min walk0). my friend lives one and a half hours south of brisbane and i live one and a half hours north, so a great meeting place for us to see a show at the lyric theatre and have some time together. It was within walking distrance to where we were going. when booking out they allowed us to leave our car in their carpark while attending a medical appointment, which saved us money . Loved the location, clean and comfy room, friendly staff - where else can you get a room at Southbank - in walking distance to fantastic restaurants - with FREE parking - for only $90. Location was good close to South Bank and restaurants in West End. Pool was pleasant on a hot day. They produced an excellent affogato, even though it was not listed as an option. Able to walk to many city attractions. Excellent hassle free parking beneath the hotel for our rental car. nothing.. The shower was over the bath with a sliding door and the bath was very tiny very crowded but ok, kitchen is a little tiny but fine. As with all motels in Brisbane, the price per night seems high compared to simular accommodations in the USA. 8am on Sunday morning is not really a good time to be doing housekeeping!. Although the kitchenette had everthing the cupboards were difficult to access. The shower is over a small bath so significant step to get into shower. Some traffic noise but overall quiet considering it is on a main road. All Good. The shower gel and shampoo dispensers were empty. There was no furniture on the balcony (& not allowed to take furniture from the room out there) and no usb port on the tv in our room. The bedspread was in dire need of dry cleaning (it was a bit smelly on the underside of it). Out of your control, but the noise from the trains gets to us of a night. We have stayed on the city side of the hotel and it is less obvious than on the side we stayed this visit. Not many eateries close by. Traffic noise. In-house restaurant needs more variety fro dinner/room service, but otherwise on-par with pub food. Unfortunately the unit, althougth it was comfortable, was in bad need of a makeover, the decor was very much old hat, and the furnishings, because of their age, didn't look very clean. The sofa especially did not look very inviting. Also it might be an idea to extend the breakfast hours to 10am. the inability to make food in the room- however, I understand why this rule is in place. Only a double rather than a queen size bed; uht milk rather than fresh. Shower fitting loose; could not set it in suitable position. Rooms were keylocked rather than swipe card security (difficult in dull lighting). going to the restaraunt and being told there were no tables and if we got a table there would be 40 minute wait due to them having to do room service as well. Access is down a laneway so I wasn't willing to walk on my own after dark. Nothing to dislike. Would like hotel to have own WIFI. Free Internet not available. Nothing. Space in the room was just a little tight but for our overnight stay was fine. Nothing. Will stay here again the next time I'm in Brisbane. Nothing to dislike. Unable to extend our stay beyond the 1 night due to a 'full house'. Left 5:30 am and could not pay my bill. Reception was attended by night watch only. The room was advertised as having a full kitchen so thinking there was an oven or griller we bought food to be cooked in an oven only to discover there was only a stove top. Sorry we couldn't leave the balcony door open more but it was a bit noisy. Thought the menu selection in the restaurant was limited for a lower priced meal choice. I wanted a light meal at the end of a day out & had the soup but it was a very small serve. Room lighting was very dim, bathroom was a bit smelly. It's a very minor thing, but I wanted to book the transit bus to the airport, as described in the information pack in my room, only to find when I checked out that it had to be organised 24 hours before departure. One line explaining this in the info pack would have saved my frustration with the poor receptionist who wasn't able to help me as I'd left it too late. Not enough staff, they were run off their feet. Nothing. nothing. Not a thing!. Restaurant dinner choices were restricted. No plug provided in handbasin - somewhat inconvenient - we asked for one twice but it never appeared. Meals in restaurant good value, but I'd prefer option for better quality. However many up market places nearby so not a real issue. Would prefer option to use stairs (and exercise) rather than wait for single lift. No screen on the doors. There was nothing to report in the negative. Thanks.
