  Two aspects are exceptional in this hotel: the position in the center of Buenos Aires and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. The position close to the obelisk makes lots of spots reachable by walking, all the subway lines quite close, and the view from the panoramic window on the very large 9 de Julio quite impressive, still with little... what people say » noise. The staff has helped us in lots of ways: from keeping part of our baggage while we were traveling to the north, to printing our boarding pass, - The Hotel:The staff at nh Tango were all extremely helpful, polite and knowledgeable about Buenos Aires (transport, landmarks, etc) The breakfast was exceptional in its variety and flavour.   Great location 2 blocks from Teatro Colon. Many restaurants on major pedestrianized street one block behind hotel and small grocery stores nearby. Classic old building with balconies and extensive decorative molding inside and out, marble stairs, etc.. Our apartment was the largest hotel facility we have ever had with separate living room, dining... what people say » room/kitchen and two large bedrooms, one with king size bed and the other with two twins, plus separate bathroom. We felt like royalty—or at least up - This place is amazing for the price. I hesitated to book it because it was so cheap, I thought it could be too basic, but I couldn't believe how lovely it was. I only went ahead with a booking because of the other reviews, and was so happy I did. Even breakfast was included. I would have paid double and been just as happy! It's also really centrally located, ideal spot for exploring Buenos Aires. The staff were great, especially Francisca.

  I stayed at V&S for about 3 weeks while taking a Spanish course. The hostel is great. The staff is friendly (and fluent in English), the rooms and bathrooms are clean, the beds are comfortable enough and the location is splendid. Decent WiFi as well.
