The location is very good at the intersection of Retiro & Microcentre. The street (Maipu) is not particularly attractive but walking righy from the hotle takes you to the beautiful San Martin Plaza and it is only a block from Florida St., the pedestrian shopping street and on the way is the excellent restaurant TanCat. The staff are outstanding, helpful in every way. We loved the rooftop bar where we went several evenings for a drink or light dinner. The 2nd floor lounge with bar and light .
all reviews » Loved the style of the hotel, just fabulous. The standard room was very comfortable and luxurious. For once the air conditioning controls were working properly and easy to adjust. The bathroom was impeccable with plenty of room for toiletries and the shower was great. I loved the full length mirrors and other mirrors in the room. The windows were soundproof what a delight. It is a great boutique hotel. The breakfast is perfect with fresh fruit and the best medialunas I have had in Argentina. Th. The front desk was under-staffed on a number of occasions, and at least one of them was borderline rude in his indifference. I had a room on one of the upper floors with a balcony, which provided a lot of light. Bathroom was great, and laundry service was excellent. Cleaning services were sometimes spotty, but the cleaning staff were lovely which suggests they are overloaded rather than careless. The location was only a ten minute walk from my conference hotel site, and otherwise well situa. Hotel had air conditioning. It was very hot when were there and our room was comfortable. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The belongings safe was very ample, the largest one on our trip. The location was great for walking and touring the city. It was close to everything! Internet was so, so, not the fastest, but it did work. The staff was helpful. They gave us a wake up call and arranged our taxi to the airport. The location of the hotel was excellent. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade. The staff were helpful and friendly and assisted us with information regards sightseeing, shopping and where to eat. They also organised taxis to and from the airport. We visited Uruguay for two nights and safely stored our luggage at the hotel for our return and another two night stay. Lobby computer (for use of guests) had to be removed for repair right after I arrived; one week later it still had not been returned to the hotel, hence I was unable to check e-mail. Very inconvenient. Almost no amenities in rooms, and, although I have already mentionned several times to the directors, no sufficient lighting in the bathroomh and terrible service for breakfast. The 21% VAT which is not included in the price quoted in letsbookhotel.com reservation. Please be aware of this non trivial extra pay. It does appear on letsbookhotel.com as a faint line much below the hotel and room descriuption and the price w/o VAT. Pool is not that great but at least they have one. the rooftop area is only open during the afternoon and evening. Everything was good. Overcharge on drinks in room and staff very inflexible on extending checkout time. I think a bit expensive for what it is. nothing. Nothing in particular. Breakfast is boring. Nothing. the staff was not too good informed about evening acitivities like opera, cirque de solei etc. The one thing I noticed myself and observed many others having near misses with is the step from footpath to hotel entrance. It is not easily seen and is a serious tripping hazard. Very noisy street. bed is too short and little hard. The cleanliness was not up to scratch, found hairs in the bed on the first day, hairs in the bathroom 2nd day after cleaning that were not there prior. The bedding was strange, the bottom sheet was loose and did not fit the bed so you ended up sleeping on the mattress by the morning when the sheet had moved. The pool was closed with no apparent reason, though it did storm later in the day so maybe they knew something we didn't. The staff need more training to deal with tourists, especially language. The breakfast hot selection never changed. Lot of groups and schools use the hotel. Facilities like room service never seemed to work. Rather old decor of the rooms as well of the bathrooms. Bathrooms rather small, with outdated fixtures. Rooms, and especially bathrooms need to be renovated. Restaurant and menu of roof terras. many groups of tourists. I did not like break fast every day same break fast need to improve good quality and variety and not same every day.
