Quirky but delightful. The B&B is located in a very fascinating but somewhat gritty part of town -- but the street art is fabulous and the atmosphere on Sundays (street dancing, street musicians, market) is great. Our room was right at the top of this lovely old mansion. We had our own little patio with coffee table and chairs, a rooftop patio with views over San Telmo, and another larger patio directly beneath. The tight spiral staircases take some getting used to, but add to the overall c.
all reviews » - We were quite amazed when we saw the room, the kitchen, the balcony: all really really beautifull. - We were staying in the #311 - Louisa room: loved it - We liked the breakfast a lot! Big plate full of fresh fruit, good coffee, sweet, tasty croissants, fresh orange juice: mjam! - Towels - Small walk from Plaza Dorrego (main square in San Telmo): so the music, good restaurants (where you can even dine after midnight) and nice little shops are all nearby. - Nice people staying here, good t. B+B Bonito is a beautiful and quirky old building with very friendly and helpful staff. All reception staff spoke excellent English. My room (310) was bright and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The atmosphere is very relaxed and homely. You have use of the kitchen in the evenings if you like and there are lovely outdoor spaces and terraces. The B+B is close to the lovely old Defensa squares, cafes, shops and street market. Price is excellent for location to San Telmo shopping (especially Sunday Market) and for the cleanliness. Bathrooms get messy because shower, sink and toilet all in one open room. Friendly staff and ready to help, they let us in before the usual check-in time and made us feel at home; the room was just like in the picture, we stayed in the "Liesl" room on the last floor and had two terraces for us! The breakfast was one of the best we had during our stay in Argentina! Definitely great value for money in San Telmo! P.S. If getting there by taxi tell the driver to look for the small "Cocker" sign on the building, there's no other name on the door. We visited the hotel in January 2013. The room was tastefully decorated and the bed was really comfortable and the lighting nice and soft. We were in the "Wild Dreams" room that had a private roof deck. Breakfast was good with a great selection of fruits The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The location was perfect. I chose this B&B primarily because of its location in San Telmo and because I stayed a week and wanted kitchen facilities. This place was perfect for what I needed; reasonably priced, good location and the staff and owner(Yanina)was very friendly and helpful-made me feel right at home. - The rooms are each done by an other artist and that makes the experience so much better. - staff is very helpful and friendly - terrace on the roof - good breakfast - very cosy and relax atmosphere. Stay in room louise 311. Loved it. The room, while comfortable, had nowhere to hang clothes, and the bathroom was rather small. (Even so, good value for money.). - We had to look two times before we saw that it was really a hostel at the main entrance (look for the little tripadvisor sticker in the window) - Not always someone at the reception. It wasn't a big deal, but there was nowhere to hang clothes in my room. The breakfast Beds quite old but adequate after 30 hours of traveling. Not that easy to climb the stairs with big bags... but doable! ;-). Nothing to report. - we had to wait long before warm water was flowing trough the shower - room was not ventilated well when we arrived. After we found out how we could open the windows everything was nice :). insufficient elstric outlets in rooms. The wi-fi was useless, the shower in room 309 flooded the bathroom. No TV in the room, only told on arrival there isn't one provided for that room. - Not enough furniture - bathroom not really usefull. The last couple of meters to the hotel are just a little unpleasant at night although I never had any problem. stairs, stairs and yet more stairs.- room awfully cold.
