These beautiful thatched cottages are located in Aghadoe, 2 miles from Killarney. With stunning countryside views, the Old Killarney Cottages feature well-equipped kitchens and large living areas with open fireplaces. Kitchens have a cooker, washing machine and a dishwasher. Kitchenware is provided and there is a wooden dining table and chairs. There is traditional wooden flooring throughout the properties. The spacious lounges have comfortable sofas, a TV, DVD player and Wi-Fi internet is available. There are large lawns to the front and back of the cottages. The cottages feature two en suite bedrooms, a twin room and a mezzanine with twin beds. Hairdryers and ironing facilities are provided. Lough Leane and Killarney National Park are a 5-minute drive from the cottages. Nearby Killarney has a fantastic selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Free parking is available at the Old Killarney Cottages.

The cottages are adorable! I was with a group of 3 and it was an amazing deal for our small group, but the cottage could have easily slept 8 (imagine what a great deal that would be...). They have the appearance of traditional Irish country homes, but the interiors have all the modern amenities you could need for a stay in beautiful Killarney. You're located just outside of the town center, so you can easily bike or drive to town-a cab for the 3 of us only took 8 minutes and was less than 10 eu.
όλα τα σχόλια » We really liked the space in the cottages. They are well equipped with everything you need including towels. The Caretaker was very approachable if you needed anything or advice on where to visit. Location is great a two min drive into town while lovely scenery awaits you if you head for the gap of Dunloe. We will go back again in the summer when the weather is better. Also we were told that the playground will be moved to the rental properties so this will be a big plus as the kids can play . I thought the cottages were in a lovely area. Away from the town but also near enough by car. Loved the surrounding countryside. The evening walks along the country roads were enjoyable and peaceful. The restaurant/pub in the area was just perfect walking distance where a lovely meal and a few drinks could be enjoyed without the worry of having to drive back. The cottages were stunning, very clean, modern and quite surprising. I liked the way we were left to our own devices without being . The service was second to none. The staff were the friendliest I've ever encountered. I was sick for the whole weekend I was there and the owner was so nice and welcoming and did everything she could to help me. I'd most definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. The views are fantastic. The cottage is nice and romantic and beautifully designed, but would also accommodate a large group of people. It is close to all major amenities and tourist spots and has a restaurant and p. Stayed at Old Killarney Village for 11 days and really loved it. It was roomy, clean and comfortable. All clean linens, fresh towels, and kitchen utensils for cooking. The staff were very polite and helpful. And made every effort to accommodate us. The self regulating heat and ample hot water for showers was a real plus. It also had washer/dryer unit and a dish washer. We felt like were at home! And looking forward to our next visit. Staff were very nice & helpful, Loved cottage 38, was done up in contemporary style which family liked,beds very comfy,nice & warm even in feb.,Would like to have had electric showers though for more hot water for family after hiking. wifi was iffy, but no big deal,we were there to relax & enjoy each others company, not to do what we do at home, so didnt even need tv or wifi. THANKS GUYS!!!. The location is close enough to walk to Killarney if you'd like also a local pub about the length of a football field from cottage . This was my second trip this year and plan to make it my more times in the future . Having grown up about 40 miles from Killarney and left for the USA 1985 I really look forward to returning now that my kids have grown . This is like a home away from home. Very nice cottages. Located just outside Killarney. Peacful & quiet. Well equiped houses (fully equiped kitchen), with chimney (they provide wood for fire at extra cost). Great for relaxation in the countryside, yet not far from Killarney. There is local pub within the village so no need to go to Killarney for a pint of beer. Very nice and helpful staff. Everything was great! We recieved great information and tips for touring and traveling from the Inn Keeper. The cottage was awesome, clean, and comfortable. The kids loved it and called it luxurious. There was a Tesco in town where we could buy our essentials and food for the stay. We will definately stay here again in the future!. I loved the service and the look of the cottage inside. It was a lot better than I expected. The cottages are very modern and clean. The beds are really comfortable with good quality mattresses and duvets. The surroundings are very peaceful as well. I will be coming back here and will definitely recommend this place to my friends. I loved the roominess. We had my son, daughter-in-law, and 3 grandchildren, and me in the cottage and it provided enough spaces for everyone's needs-3 bedrooms and a sleeping loft area. We loved the kitchen and laundry facilities. The cottages were spacious clean and warm.Very peaceful area and pub just around the corner were my grandchildren were welcomed.All our requests were granted making our stay very relaxing.Will definately return in the Summer. The house was really nice. It wasn't a large place but had 3 bedrooms, 3 baths and a loft w/ beds. More than enough room. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the fireplace most. Would definitely recommend. Easy to book, easy to find, lovely location, quiet, but very near to all amenities, did exactly what it said 'on the tin'! Very reasonably priced and will definately go back for my next walking weekend in Kilarney. we were very impressed with the cottage. we had a lot of space we were a family of five .the cottage was well equipped we everything we needed .local pub on site was very kid friendly and bar staff nie to the kids,. Staff more than helpful and even arranged for a mechanic to come and get our keys out of the car after they were locked into the boot. Perfect balance (close to town but also away from the hustle and bustle). Can’t really fault the place except for a light bulb. Very large spacious house, could really sleep 12 comfortably never mind 8. Fantastic location for doing all that you want in Kerry. Highly recommended. Cottages very comfortable felt like a home from home. Perfect for families. Nice and quiet area. Our two yr old slept perfectly every night! Information pack great for finding out what to do in the area. Location was perfect, spotlessly clean, everything you needed was provided including teatowels, towels and bed linen. Excellently appointed cottages much more comfortable and stylish that I had pictured, loads of space and everything supplied, very relaxing surrounds and short hop into the lively town of killarney. For 128euro for a night in a house that comfortably sleeps 8, we had all we needed, only a five minute drive into Killarney town. A lovely holiday home complex. Extremely clean and comfortable!. Loved the warmth and comfort of the Thatched cottage. The whole area is so peaceful and yet a short drive to town. The Inn served lovely food and was just a short walk from the cottage. It was a spacious cottage, just outside the town, therefore it was quite but easy to get to Killarney. It had the basics of what was needed for a short stay. I would stay there again. Three bedrooms, each with it's own ensuite, fantastic. Very clean and comfortable, lots of space. We only had two nights there, would have loved to have stayed longer. Plenty of room in these houses and a really nice quiet area to base yourself .Lots of other kids on site the week we stayed and it was safe to let them run around. The Thatched Cottages are absolutely lovely - home from home. They were clean and warm and we had a brilliant time there. We will definitely visit again. The cottage was very comfortable, had all the basic equipment, convenient for travelling on, relaxing, comfortable and clean. everything booked it for a group of hill walker everyone real happy with the place and will be back great value for money. The houses are absolutely lovely. Lots of space, excellent furniture and decoration. Excellent value for the money. The lovely spacious cottages. The gentleman who checked us in was very gracious. very safe area for kids with hardly any traffic coming in or out and quiet too. House was very clean. The cottage was wonderfully spacious, the beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. Realy enjoyed our stay, everything was perfect, cant wait to go back, hopefully sooner than later. It is a really nice cottage, nice people and we had all what we need it in there, just perfect!. This was a great place to stay. So much room and very comfortable. Would stay again. cottage was beautiful, a lovely base from which to explore killarney, very spacious. Everything, we liked EVERYTHING. From the pub down the street to the fireplace. A really lovely relaxing experience for our family. Facilities were excellent. The house was fantastic the views amazing and the staff extreamily friendly. i loved it .great safe comfortable roomy warm great to relax and enjoy kerry. Good location, great for a family, cleanliness, would stay there again. Everything was perfect!. The washing machine didn't work but we were assured it would be replaced asap. Only an issue as we were away for 4 days with kids so needed to use it. The playground is on site but not located near to the rental cottages and is unfortunately located in a very wet area and in need of repair. There is nothing negative I can think of. Could not find fault.... It was difficult to find as the gps didn't recognize the location - the owner said his gps also didn't recognize it. The office hours were only between 4 and 6 (or 6:30?). It never ended up being a problem but feel like it has potential to be. Electric showers would be much better than immersion water heating. There were 6 of us and we had to stagger showering to allow water to re-heat, bit of a nuisance, but overall very happy. nothing. the bar man in the local pub. The weather. Cottages endorse the pub in the complex as a great place to eat but we found the food terrible and staff rude. They should reconsider this recommendation. The toaster did not work , and the microwave did not work properly .There was no soap and also no oven gloves provided . Wifi would be a big plus... not a big ask in 2013. No Wifi is a pain {maybe good !!} 20 euros a dog bit steep as dogs seem to roam around and we dont let our dogs sleep in house anyway Food in pup ok just Killarney very dear to eat and stay. Very small point water pressure in shower was not great. There was some damp high in the ceiling and another toilet eod have been better. Nothing, everything was perfect !. The need for a small shop on site would be great just selling milk,papers, bread etc. Oven took ages to heat up and dinner took 2 hours. mattresses very hard. Unfortunately we couldn't locate the instruction manual for the heater and ran out of hot water one evening. on the day of arrival we were met by a very hassled receptionist who at outset was downright rude, she later apologised however. There was NOTHING we didn't like. We had to move houses due to an electric fault, which was fine. 2nd house had been modernised and was so much more nicer. First house was rather shabby.
