Do not be put off by the entrance and stairway which is shared by other properties. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and furnished with a lovely view over the Theatre Square. The room was spacious and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable, but even better was its handy location to the old part of Lyon and the restarants. Big room, with beautiful view on the square at the Theatre des Celestins; big, modern bathroom; free use of internet. The hotel was ideally located in the old centre viewing the theater.
We had a very pleasant stay.Excellent location, close to the centre. location was excellent. the breakfast was good value for money, staff were friendly. Central, friendly staff, fairly price. Not knowing how to enter the hotel when arriving. The outside door was locked and I wasn't sure what to do - which meant a phonecall to the reception (which was upstairs) . But this was resolved easily. Not specifically a problem in my case this time, but the reception is on the second floor, and there is no lift in the hotel. Not practical if you are travelling with a lot of (heavy) luggage.lots of stairs up to the room. room needed a fan or air conditioning. very, very, very noisy from other guests on both nights (but no street noise). Not the best bed, warm room at summer, thin door to the stairs.
